A baby in a crib. That same scary noise. A dog. Hanging cookware swaying in a fancy kitchen. The shadow of what looks like demon Katie from Paranormal Activity. Oh man, why did I watch this Paranormal Activity 2 trailer before going to bed? I’m now freaked out. What is going on with this sequel, other than tapping into my primal fear of children in peril? Not sure I can handle this one. Can you? Take a look (after the jump) and weigh in.I don't know, I thought the first one was pretty lame. Anyway... In the last shot, the baby is gone from the crib but still visible in the mirror: and if you turn the cap upside down, you can see the words "what is happening to hunter?" in the mirror: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHAT IS HAPPENING TO HUNTER??

The first one wasn’t all that great considering the hype. These movies are usually awesome to watch in the cinema though with people freaking out and stuff over the least little thing, so I’ll definitely go see this.

The first one was boring as hell, but this actually looks kind of cool. The bit about the screen caps anyways.

The first one had like one good bit in it, the ending. It was like Blair Witch Project all over again. I'm thinking "I sat through 90 mins of watching people talk and sleep for that?".
They better step it up for this one.

I'm actually kinda looking forward to this now. The trailers look creepy.
I think I'm gonna try go see this on Halloween if I'm not working that night.

I felt like I should have been pushing for a refund when I saw the first one, but then again I didn't pay to see it...

I thought this was pretty awesome actually. Definitely better than the original. It is a little slow to begin with, but once it gets going there are quite a few good scares.
And a little thing that made a big difference to me was the fact that the family in this one had a young child and a dog. I don't care and have no sympathy for adults being terrorized in horror movies...but if you place an innocent dog in harms way, that's about the only way you're able to successfully tug at my heart strings in a movie. I've always been a sucker for that, haha.

Don't think I'll ever watch this if I'm honest. Bought the 1st one on DVD and didn't even flinch let alone feel terror. Was a predictable storyline too, so unless this wins an Oscar or something I'm gonna treat this like I treat the Saw series.

Without the atmosphere of watching it in the cinema this would probably be average at best, to be fair. Not a great deal different from the first one.

In fairness I don't think im cut out for horror movies anymore. They just bore me unless they're incredible cheesy to the point you start thinking it might be a comedy. I blame my dad for that though, when I was a kid and some movie scared me (Probably IT, which is funny cause that looks really cheesy now!) and my dad pointed out that there was no reason to be scared cause if it was real the camera man would be killed too. Once you're taken out of the moment at a young age it sticks.

The only type of horror movie that can even begin to unsettle me these days are ones of the paranormal variety, since I've always had a thing for ghosts (sounds pretty weird when I say it like that though).
