I just watched this. The concept isn't totally original, but watching the mystery unfold was interesting. It was kinda like Girl, Interrupted meets A Nightmare on Elm Street. The ending made me jump.

You should give it a viewing. At first I thought the concept of the villain was a little hokey, but everything comes together. It's worth a rent, at the very least.

I finally saw this (I've been picking up a lot of DVD's of movies I've been meaning to watch lately).
I enjoyed it. Not John Carpenter's best work obviously but still pretty good.
