So, who/what is this about? I’m a sucker for these kind of things. Even if it ends up being a huge letdown in the end (a no name jobber debuting) or something we all saw coming (the Jericho Save_Us promos) it’s still fun to speculate/follow.

I didn’t even consider the fact that it was anything other than a promo for Undertaker’s return at first. But dammit, now you all got me excited thinking about the possibility of it being Sting. Plus, Taker has 2 logical feuds when he returns, both against Smackdown guys, so why would he return on RAW?

Anyway, get to voting/speculating. I voted for Undertaker btw. I still think it’ll end up being him. I’d love it to be Sting though.

"Immortal comes out to open the show. Eric Bischoff calls out Scott Steiner to talk business. Bischoff says Hulk Hogan won't be here tonight thanks to Dixie Carter. Bischoff talks about Kevin Nash and Booker T and tells Steiner that Sting isn't here either. Bischoff wants Steiner to join them. Steiner cuts a promo on Bischoff before Crimson and Kurt Angle come out. Angle says they are real, damn real and leaves with Steiner and Crimson."

... Sting didn't even show up to the M.E.M. reunion. I'm almost certain it's him now.

Undertaker vs. Sting was a dream WM match of mine. Albeit 10 years ago.

I wonder if Billy Gunn has released a statement yet announcing that the big return/debut on this date is in fact, not him? Because you know we’re all wondering.

TNA sources have indicated that Sting did not sign a new contract for 2011, and many in the company have discussed that he may be heading to WWE. This morning, the New York Daily news reported that Sting had signed a one-year deal with WWE.

It was an official WWE hype video for the February 21st edition of Raw advertising the return of The Undertaker.

To add to that awesome poster, I saw this potential storyline scenario in the comments section over at 411. This is some mythical, epic horror movie shit here. I really do want to see this now.

How about this; Sting is also a spooky, "dark" character, right? Let's combine the 2.21.11 theories - it IS Sting in the video, and it IS the Undertaker and Kane's childhood home he's walking into.

Why? He's looking for the spirit of the Undertaker. Undertaker "died" in the buried alive match, but obviously he's able to come back every time he dies - but his soul goes somewhere for a while before returning to the body of Mark Calloway, the host it's inhabited for the nearly 50 years. However, his powers were running out in his last run, as evidenced by Kane's dominance.

Sting goes to the darkside to look for the Undertaker's spirit to ressurect him, and bring him back to the WWE fully recharged. Once the reason the Corre helped Kane take Undertaker out is revealed, Sting makes his debut as the last piece of the puzzle, opposing whatever evil was looming on the horizon; leading to Sting/Undertaker v. Barrett/Kane at Wrestlemania.

This could then run into Undertaker's final feud with Kane, eventually retiring him. The whole time, Sting is there, but his motives are completely unknown (in the rafters, just like the old days). Finally, his motives are revealed at some point when he turns on the Undertaker, revealing that the reason he brought the Undertaker back was because he had to "set things right" with the Undertaker and Kane saga, and that it wasn't time for the Undertaker to go - not yet. NOW Sting is going to be the one to end the story of the Undertaker, and lay the him to rest once and for all, beating the spirit of the Undertaker out of Mark Calloway's body and allowing him to rest in peace. But the Undertaker refuses to die, all leading to one final confrontation; at Wrestlemania 28, 'Taker's last match and the last big dream match.
