I made this thread per Burke but I'd like to go ahead and say that this card is absolutely disgusting and I've never seen a less appealing WrestleMania card since I started watching in 1998. I'm sick of these has beens stealing spots, I'm sick of this dumbass company putting on the same show every week with the same 10 people, and I'm sick of every PPV getting longer and longer, and STILL not putting on anything worth a damn. I can't even enjoy the fact that the women are main eventing because Ronda and Becky have made complete asses of themselves on Twitter. Charlotte should be rewarded with the win simply for not embarrassing herself, but then they'd just continue her feud with Becky so let's get this shit over with. My only hope is that after WrestleMania, the fossils will go back to their caves to dwell until next year and Ronda will leave and we can finally get some new fucking material.
EDIT: I am happy that Tony Nese FINALLY has a title opportunity but I'm sure they'll just have Buddy retain anyway.

Hmm, I was against the main event being a triple threat at first and wanted it to be just Becky/Ronda but this card already has far too many one-on-one matches as it is and you've still got Bryan vs. Kofi and Roman vs. Drew to be added. There needs to be a little more variety. Asuka may as well just defend against the entire remaining SD women's roster at this point rather than adding another singles match. Hopefully that number one contender match tomorrow doesn't have a conclusive winner somehow.
I love Kofi and can't wait to see him win but I'm surprised that some people today thought that the WWE title match had a chance of main eventing. That match has had 3 weeks of build and isn't even official yet. The women were always going to main event this year.

Ronda and Becky need Charlotte tbh. Their styles wouldn't really make for an exciting match without her, unless y'all just want Becky to get steamrolled. Asuka may as well just defend against the entire remaining SD women's roster at this point rather than adding another singles match. Hopefully that number one contender match tomorrow doesn't have a conclusive winner somehow. I feel like Lacey will get involved and it'll become a six pack challenge. They love those as of late.

I bet Becky and Charlotte will team up early in the match and put Ronda through the announce table or something then it'll basically be a Becky/Charlotte match for 15 minutes until Ronda comes back near the end. WWE loves doing that kinda thing with triple threats. You hardly ever have all three in the ring at the same time.

I'm still not sure if I think they'll have Ronda's goons interfere with the match causing Ronda to win or interfere and Bayley and Sasha coming out to handle them. Probably the first, because you know they like their fuckery.
It's absurd that out of all the announced matches only 2 don't include people that weren't around in 2002 or prior.

Joan Jett will be performing Bad Reputation. I'm always surprised when WWE gets a respected musician and not Kid Rock or Flo-Rida.
I didn't realise until I just saw it pointed out that people who get their entrance music played live at WM almost always lose. From the Attitude era on:
Shawn Michaels - WM 14 The Godfather - WM 16 Triple H - WM 17 Dudley Boyz - WM 18 Triple H - WM 21 John Cena - WM 24 CM Punk - WM 29 Bray Wyatt - WM 30 Randy Orton - WM 30 Sasha Banks - WM 32 Shinsuke Nakamura - WM 33
And the only ones who actually won:
Triple H - WM 18 Undertaker - WM 19 Rey Mysterio - WM 22

I hate this company so fucking much. They’re milking all this good press about the women headlining WrestleMania, while turning around and cutting a whole women's title match from the card. Just like how they acted like Evolution was their greatest gift to the women when it was announced, and then gave it a house show budget. WWE doesn’t give a fuck about the women beyond using them for publicity and I don’t know how much longer I can watch this trash.

Charlotte vs. Asuka in a Falls Count Anywhere match would have destroyed everything on the card. Charlotte could have won the title weeks ago and they could have been building a legit feud between the two.
If we get stuck with Undertaker and/or Cena getting a match, I'm buying us tickets to flyover and kidnap Burke's dog and maybe his nephew. Idk yet.
They're killing all of Roman's goodwill pairing up with that black hole of entertainment.

This really looks like the least WM worthy card in recent memory.
Triple threat - The only thing with any long-term build and most of that has been bad for the past couple months.
Lesnar/Rollins - I keep forgetting that this is even happening.
Bryan/Kofi - I hate the idea of all these gauntlet matches to get to it but this should be great.
HHH/Batista - I'm usually the only one here looking forward to HHH matches but even I'm not interested in this.
Shane/Miz - Shane going toe-to-toe with actual wrestlers on big shows gets worse every time.
Roman/Drew and Lashley/Finn - Straight up middle of an episode of RAW matches.
Orton/Styles & Joe/Rey - Straight up middle of an episode of SD matches. Okay, these are actually a little better than the RAW ones if I take away my bias against AJ.
Angle/Corbin - Kurt is beyond able to have a good match but it could have at least been a decent farewell moment if he had a worthy opponent.
Cruiserweight - If they want PPV crowds to know these people then they have to start appearing on the main shows, at least occasionally.
Battle royal - It's a battle royal.
Tag title - I just don't care about these titles yet. I'm pleasantly surprised the IIconics have a decent spot on the card though after the year they've had.
I usually look forward to literally every WM. I remember even being excited for WM 27 with it's terrible card. This has to be worst one yet though. The Women's/WWE title matches are the only two matches I want to see and you're going to have to go through about 8 hours and 16 matches to get to them.
Whew, I'm gonna have to fire up Football Manager that night and have WM on as background noise for most of the time because if I actually try to pay attention to all those matches I'll undoubtedly fall asleep before the halfway mark.

I heard that The Revival might defend against Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. Lmao what the hell have they done to deserve a title shot?? At this point it's easier to get on WM than a regular PPV.
I don't get why the Hardys didn't face either the Usos or The Revival instead of being in the battle royal. At least on paper those would be big Tag title matches. Some little things like that being shuffled around would have made this card look so better.

The match is official with nothing more than Twitter build. 💀 And here I thought I was finally done updating the OP.

The build-up to this show has been complete trash, but I'm hoping the show itself will be good. They've managed to pull that off before. WrestleMania 32 comes to mind when everyone was dropping with injuries and the card was weird af.

Even if the show drags it will hopefully at least be an upbeat show like WM's used to be.
34 and 33 went on forever and then ended on such downers. And well 32 was depressing all round with heels winning most matches.
This year though there's sure-fire big babyface moments with Kofi/Becky/Seth all winning titles...and even as I type that I realise that with WWE's obsession with heels dominating in recent years there's a chance one or more of them will lose to piss people off lol.

And well 32 was depressing all round with heels winning most matches. What? Heels won 4 out of 12 matches. The League of Nations got their asses kicked by Austin, Foley & HBK after winning. The others were Jericho beating Styles, Charlotte winning the new pretty belt, and Lesnar beating Ambrose. The Rock and Cena beat up the Wyatts, Zack Ryder won the IC title in a shock feel good win, and Roman speared the ever loving hell out Stephanie. I think you have your Manias mixed up.
