Season 3 is just as good as 1 & 2 for me as well. 4 started out a bit clunky, you can see the difference the new writers/producers have brought in, but the cast is still great, the characters haven't changed at all, and it finds it's groove again a couple episodes in. I think all 4 seasons have 1 or 2 bad episodes (the Jeff/Abed birthday dinner episode, my god), but 4 being so short makes it look worse by comparison. I think season 5 will be less rocky. They won't have as much behind the scenes drama, NBC will hopefully get off their backs since they're pretty much carrying the network with Parks and Rec now, cast members won't leave halfway through filming (Chevy ), and like I said, the new writers finally found their groove. This time last year I just wanted them to cancel it and put everyone out of their misery. This year, I have high hopes for the future of the show. If they can get renewed just one more time they can get their six seasons and a movie then put it to rest. Also, I love how a throwaway joke became the backbone of the show.

I finished season 4 a few hours ago, and I enjoyed it. The length of the season didn't really bother me, because I'm used to comedy shows having 6 to 8 episodes anyway, so 13 episodes was still a decent length, imo.

Dan Harmon Reportedly Asked to Return to Community
It is being said that, during a recent live taping of Dan Harmon’s “Harmontown” podcast show, the Community creator (and ousted showrunner) revealed that either NBC or Sony had, in fact, offered him his old job back.
According to a site called Hollywookie.com, Harmon acted as if saying it to the crowd on hand was a mistake and that it would be edited out of the final version of the podcast. But then he eventually remarked ” Ahhh, f*** it. I don’t care who knows.” Which, in this rumor’s defense, does sound like the kind of unfiltered mouth that Harmon has been known to have in group settings with a live audience.
It was at WonderCon a few years back when Harmon couldn’t keep quiet about his then feud with star Chevy Chase.
Harmon didn’t say if he had accepted the offer or not (let’s assume not) and then joked about telling the deal makers that he’d return only if Chevy also returned.

Dan Harmon’s Return Now Very Likely
EW.com is reporting that Community creator/showrunner Dan Harmon is currently in negotiations to return to the series with the studio who unceremoniously ousted him after Season 4 – Sony TV.
This news comes just days after Harmon himself reportedly mentioned being asked to return to Community for Season 5 during a live taping of his Harmontown podcast.
It’s hard not to get excited when things are far from being a done deal but…this one seems to be moving forward quickly. And the fact that Harmon, who once said he’d never return, is negotiating seems like a positive sign. Hope this works out, but I'd still rather have Chevy back.

Dan Harmon Confirms Return to Community
The show's creator confirmed the news via Twitter Saturday after a follower asked him to "give a straight answer" regarding whether or not he would be coming back to the NBC comedy for season five.
"Yes yes yes! I'm back I'm back I'm back. You can thank @joelmchale," Harmon tweeted Saturday.
Harmon's Twitter confirmation comes just a few days after he revealed he was extended an invitation to return to Community, but didn't confirm at the time whether he would accept it.
Happy Endings writers David Guarascio and Moses Port replaced the showrunner during the show's fourth season, after Harmon was fired by Sony a little over a year ago.
Following Harmon's announcement, Community star Gillian Jacobs cheered on his return, tweeting, Welcome back, @danharmon! E Pluribus Anus!" A lot of people are reporting it's the final season, because one article joked that it was the shows "fifth consecutive final season" and people in the media are idiots.

Part of me wishes they had just ended it after season three then maybe came back a few years later with a reunion season and/or a movie to finish things off like Arrested Development did.

They need to just burn this show and bury the ashes deep into the earth's crust already

I got the first three seasons on DVD for my birthday, so I'm rewatching them.
I think the second Halloween episode is my favourite this time round, obviously I love pretty much every episode, but I just really enjoyed this episode.

I finally watched seasons 3 and 4 recently. I had heard there was a dip in quality from the first two seasons but I thought they were basically just as great.
This is the only one of my favourite shows were I don't have a clear-cut favourite character. I would probably choose one of Abed, Troy or Annie if I was forced to pick one but I like the main 7 (and the Dean) pretty much equally.

I just binged watched this show and finally caught up last night (thank you HuluPlus). After finishing season 3, I lowered my expectations, because everyone I know that watches this show just bashes season 4, but in all honesty I didn't think it was bad. If anything, it seemed more sentimental than the previous seasons, which I didn't mind.
And I really despised Pierce for awhile, but he was still hilarious to me, especially if it involved getting shot or breaking his legs. I was on the floor for both those episodes. I didn't really like the first few episodes of the current season until the last two. Annie's reaction during the lie detector test when they asked her if she drugged everyone during finals week killed me. That was actually the first episode I saw before I started the show. And Troy's goodbye episode was just as amazing, it made me cry though. I was so sad for Abed, and Troy of course.
I think Burke said it, but I agree with it, it's impossible for me to pick one favorite out of the seven. I seriously love everyone equally (even Pierce at times, especially for the goodbye's he left the group). If I had to pick, I'd probably be torn between Annie, Jeff, and Shirley. But needless to say, I love this show and I'm sad it took me so long to watch it.
