Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz announced today that the show will be coming back to television -- five years after it was cancelled. Hurwitz said the show will do a "limited" season which will show us what the characters have been up to since the show last aired ... which will then lead right into the planned movie. There is no official deal in place yet for where or when the show will air. Have a frozen banana and celebrate!

Deadline reports that 20th Century Fox TV has had discussion with Netflix and Showtime about airing the Arrested Development limited season. The network doesn't have to air the show on Fox, and it is possible they may have one of the two providers air it instead.Fox declined comment on the story.
Jason Bateman has confirmed the news via his Twitter account:
“It's true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early '13. VERY excited!”
In case you are skeptical about all this, Gob Bluth himself Will Arnett also tweeted the following:
"I'm peeing with @batemanjason at the moment..and we can confirm that we are going to make new AD eps and a movie."
I never thought that movie would ever see the light of day tbh. So glad it will though.

The new season finally started filming today! The entire cast of Arrested Development has returned as the beloved show today began production on new episodes that will stream on Netflix, Deadline reports.
Created by Mitchell Hurwitz, the former Fox series stars Jason Bateman, Jeffery Tambor, Portia de Rossi, Jessica Walter, David Cross, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Tony Hale and Alia Shawkat as the dysfunctional (to put it lightly) Bluth family. Cancelled in 2006 after three seasons, the show has been resurrected for 10 episodes that will follow each character. The new season is expected to bridge the gap between the last season and the long-rumored Arrested Development movie.
Also returning is producer Ron Howard, who will reprise his role as the narrator of the series. Howard will produce with Hurwitz and Troy Miller, while Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo will executive produce the new episodes.
Arrested Development's fourth season is expected to shoot throughout the fall, and Hurwitz has indicated that he's willing to extend the series further if the new episodes do well.
Though no premiere date has been announced, the show will return sometime in 2013. Netflix has said it intends to make all 10 episodes available at the same time.

Less than 2 weeks!
Most of the cast look like they haven't aged at all in the 10 years since the show debuted.

I really can't see any similarities. Sarcasm? Cause... Anywho I've never seen this show, is this good? At first I thought it said You Are Annoying.

I've never seen this show, is this good? At first I thought it said You Are Annoying. You're basically a mole who destroys the whole family. So, congrats.
