On Tuesday I had to take Minstrel to be put down.
He had a healthy life. In 15 years you could count on one hand the amount of times he was sick. In the last 3-4 years he had obviously slowed down but was still doing good. Starting last weekend though he was in a bad way and I knew he wouldn’t be coming back home when I took him to the vet.
It’s so strange not having him around.

I'm so sorry. I lost my dog in December and I still occasionally start to call for him. The empty house feeling is awful.

Sorry to hear about your dog. Not that there's a good time but it happening just before/after Christmas must have been awful.
Yeah, it's weird. Basically every day for 15 years the first thing I did when I got up in the morning was put his food out and let him out. It doesn't feel right not having to do it anymore.

I'm meant to say this a lot earlier, but I'm so sorry you guys. It's so hard losing a friend like that, but I just know you guys gave them such a wonderful life.
