Olympus Has Fallen. It was basically a better version of White House Down.
I also watched Battle Royale for the first time. It was creepy and reminded me of the Hunger Games only much, much more violent.

So you liked the political thriller over the summer action flick?
You are really starting to show your age.

Guardians of the Galaxy
This was really amazing. It's really cool to see that it was the same basic plot as Avengers (save planet from bad aliens) and really, to see it as a team that's kinda parallel to the Avengers themselves or their counterparts. I'm really excited to see if they ever run into each other. It's also exciting knowing that there's other shit going on than just on Earth.
I know I was hating on Batista going into it, but he was hilarious/really sweet. And obviously Chris Pratt is a goddamn national treasure. lso to the few people who haven't seen it yet, no need to stay until after the credits, unless you want to feel nostalgic I guess. There's a scene, but it's just a comedy scene, no cameo appearances by any superheroes or notable Marvel personas.

The post-credits scene is my favourite so far, like I know it's not a necessary watch, but you should stay for it anyway, just because it comes out of nowhere and will almost certainly make you laugh in a "what the fuck?" kind of way.
Best Marvel movie so far, even though I said that after Iron Man 3, Thor 2, AND Captain America 2, lol.

The Family.
I don't even know. It was okay I guess but it wasn't funny enough to be a great comedy and it wasn't exciting enough to be a great action movie. Dianna Agron and Robert De Niro were good in it though.

Don Jon.
Joseph Gordon Levitt is a sly bastard. He basically wrote a movie where the main character makes out with Scarlett Johansson constantly and then cast himself in that main role.

To be fair he spent more time masturbating and being a total Guido than anything and still remained attractive. Plus Julianne Moore.

Had to watch Spirited Away for my English class. It was really hard to find but I finally found one with English subtitles (you'd think the English version would be easy to find since it's Disney). Anime is always hit an miss with me but I actually really liked it. It reminded me of Little Nemo mixed with Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. I will say tho, that No Face thing, is one of the most terrifying things I've ever seen in an animated movie. Nightmares for life. At first it's all but then it's like!!

The Maze Runner
Probably one of the better adaptations, to the point where I thought it was superior to the book. Though I'm biased because one, Dylan O'brien, and two I didn't really like the book. However the movie made me want to finish the trilogy. It was super creepy and action packed. The parts they took out from the book were basically the parts of the book I didn't like. It's definitely worth a watch though. A lot of people were trying to do that whole, oh it's just like the Hunger Games. It's nothing like it, if anything it's more like Lord of the Flies in a giant fucking maze with Dylan O'brien running around.
