I watched The Dictator last night too. It had quite a few laughs, but it didn't come anywhere close to Ali G Indahouse or Borat for me. It was on par, or slightly better than Brüno though.

The Raid.
I only got this because I saw it for £5 in Asda and I thought what the hell. I really wasn't expecting much. I'll be damned if this isn't the best action movie I've seen in YEARS though. The fight scenes are incredible.

Subtitles. EDIT: Just noticed the DVD gives you the option to watch a dubbed version too.
Enjoy. Seriously, it's amazing.
I think I have a thing for foreign movies. Pretty much every one I've ever watched (City of God, El Orfanato, The Devil's Backbone, Pan's Labyrinth, REC, now this) I've loved.

One of my all time favourite movies, JCVD, is almost entirely in French, so I should be fine with this.
I may pop down to Asda to pick up a copy tonight actually.

Possession.
It's a Sarah Michelle Gellar movie that I think was released straight to DVD (like most of her movies). I only watched it because she was in it. It was a good little thriller. The movie title, DVD cover and the synopsis are all way misleading though. They make it look/sound like a horror movie when, outside of a few little supernatural elements, it definitely isn't.

Apartment 143.
One of the hundreds of movies like this released since Paranormal Activity. If you like movies like that (I love ghost movies) then you'll probably like this one. If you don't then you almost certainly won't.
The girl looked like a young Mila Kunis and she was creepy as fuck.

I got it for my birthday, but I've only just got round to watching it. It was definitely worth the wait though. Best action movie in years!

I seriously loved that movie.  Not including horror movies, this guy was probably the creepiest/craziest movie villain I think I’ve ever seen. EDIT: Last movie I watched was Halloween IV. It's one of my favourites from the series. |
