I told you!
I seriously doubt I'll see a better movie this year.

Cabin in the Woods deserves it's own thread. Probably the most original movie I've seen in years. Awesome. Just awesome. 9/10

I watched The Green Hornet with very low expectations last night. I really enjoyed it. Jay Chou was awesome as Kato.
It's a shame there's not going to be a sequel though.

Went to the 9pm (what happened to midnight?) showing of The Dictator. Oh my god. That movie was hilarious. I didn't stop smiling the entire time. Super offensive, insanely hilarious. Loved it.

Dark Shadows ...eh Still gonna cast it tho I heard it was surprisingly dark and that the trailers were misleading. Would you have liked it more had you seen it for free? (This is my basis for movies tbh). I kinda wanna see it, but I don't want to waste my time with it if it's gonna be lame.

lol I did see it for free. We snuck in. And the trailers are extremely misleading. It's not really a comedy at all. It's funny how Sweeny Todd was funny tbh. There are funny parts, but for the most part, it's dark and serious. It's Addams Family meets Edward Scissorhand.
And because it has such a serious approach, most of the jokes fall flat. Pretty much every joke in the movie is in the trailer. idk, the movie is really hard t describe. I probably will like it more the 2nd time (and I will watch it again, it wasn't terrible) because I won't go in expecting a comedy.

Chernobyl Diaries
I'd probably just skip out on this one and watch the Hills Have Eyes or something. It's not very violent, idk why it's rated R tbh. That's not to say it's bad, the setting was extremely creepy, especially when it was night time, but omg the brother in that movie was so annoying. I think my main issue with it was how they decided to go there. At least two people in their 'tourist' group realized there was something wrong. The first time being when the idea was pitched, the second time when the military wouldn't let them through the checkpoint into the city. I'm all for being adventurous, but not stupid. Then again, this is me trying to find some sort of logic in a horror film, so I'm probably the dumb one here.
I'd still go check it out, there aren't really any spoilers to give out, as the movie is everything you'd expect it to be.

Snow White & The Huntsman
This was a lot better than I was expecting it to be. My only issue with it is obviously Kristen Stewart. How do you expect me to believe that she's the fairest of them all over Charlize Theron? The good thing tho, was that she hardly spoke throughout the movie. I think Chris Hemsworth lifted his shirt up once, so that was nice. But I thought it was a cool/interesting take on Snow White, definitely worth checking out.
Piranha 3DD
So I thought this was supposed to be in theaters this weekend, but as it turns out, since they decided to release it OnDemand or via Playstation3/XBox360, Regal/United Artists/Edwards refused to release it in theaters, idk about AMC or any other theaters in the US. But it's everything you'd expect it to be. However, I still think the first one was superior, you can tell they got a different director. But I still loved it, mainly because I adore Danielle Panabaker and I think Chris Zylka is fine. I just wish they focused more on the certain kills, rather than David Koechner's 'titty/wet vagina' one liners.

Speaking of aquatic horror movies, I watched one called Malibu Shark Attack the other day. As far as SyFy movies go, it wasn't too bad. The beach like, gets flooded and the lifeguards fight the sharks with melee weapons. It's pretty dope.

I just found Galaxy Quest and Mean Girls On Demand for free. I'll be ticking them off my movie bucket list this weekend.
I also have The Next Karate Kid on DVD, and have done for a few years, but it looks so bad. I may have to finally tick that off too.
