Nicki Minaj and Kanye West Competing For #1 Album Spot Next Week

Both artists headed for big sales

Kanye West and Nicki Minaj are expected to be the top two artists in album sales this week when the numbers come out, with big sales from both. Hits Daily Double reports that the albums are likely to hit in the 500,000 range, with Kanye holding the edge for now. It's still early and Black Friday makes the week especially unpredictable, but both will definitely be big sellers.

Wow. Pretty impressive. In this day and age even Eminem, 50 Cent etc level hip-hop artists struggle to hit half a million first week sales. This is unprecedented for a female rapper. Looks like Pink Friday is officially a hit! Hope she beats Kanye to that #1 spot, though like I said in that other thread, his album was amazing also.
