GTA V has now made 6 billion dollars since it was released, more than any video game ever. Meanwhile, the highest grossing movie ever is Avatar, which has made less than 3 billion. They both cost around 250 million to make.
I guess it shouldn't have since games are way more expensive but this surprised me when I first read it.
