Justin Bieber is reportedly in talks to become the new host of the MTV show Punk'd. The 16-year-old star would replace the prank show's original host, Ashton Kutcher.

According to Deadline, Kutcher would remain with the show as an executive producer and the revamped show is expected to launch next year. In previous episodes, the show has pranked A-list celebs including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Katie Holmes.

While Bieber is no stranger to cameras, he has yet to host a show of this nature. Some critics are asking how a mischievous gig like this will work with his squeaky clean image.

Punk'd ran for 69 episodes before MTV took it off air in 2007.

I love Punk'd. Hopefully these talks fall through though and they have another host before it hits the air again. I don't think I could stomach the little skits in between each Punk with Bieber attemptiing to be funny and trash talking the celebs.

On second thought, I hope this is all just part of a bigger picture and Bieber is in fact about to receive the biggest Punk'ing of all time. He turns up for his first day on the job and Kutcher and co kidnap him, throw him in a van, drive 15000 miles and leave him deserted in some secluded location. Would that be too extreme?

So a year and a half later, I just watched it. The host was Hayden Panettiere. She punk'd Diana Agron, Zac Efron, and Snooki. It was a'ight. The actors are terrible and the pranks are rushed, but it's still funny to see celebs freak out. And it's better than most of the shit MTV shovels out of hell nowadays.

Hayden, Dianna, and Zac? All three of those people are relevant to me, seems worth watching.
