With AEW debuting tonight let's take a look back at the last time a new wrestling show debuted on a major network:
I know I watched this. The only thing I remember though is the Dudley Boyz debuting.

I really wish I was excited about this. They've just done nothing to persuade me to watch. I'll still give it a go but so far it really isn't compelling at all. Jericho's old ass as their first champion still makes me laugh.

Yesterday I clicked on a tweet about Nyla Rose and so many of their ugly fans were being transphobic and it made me sick to my stomach because these are the fans they’re bending over backwards to appease: the toxic smarks. It made me want nothing to do with AEW, because I don’t wanna be associated with that. So not that I was planning to anyway, but I didn’t watch AEW nor NXT. And speaking of NXT it’s fuck Finn Bálor for taking EC3’s demotion. His ugly ass was already getting booked on the main roster and a huge star even if they didn’t know what to do with him, now he’s just taking camera time from someone trying to build themselves lol smh.

I died inside when he came out and the crowd chanted holy shit. I now know I'm not just being biased because I don't like Cody or The Bucks. Those fans are legit Trump supporter levels of sycophant. They'll eat anything they're given because "fuck WWE lulz." Their production is okay. I preferred the camera work to WWE's cutaway bullshit. Jim Ross is unbearable. Every backstage interview ending in a brawl is meme level ridiculous. This is the first show so I'm expecting more to mesh. I just really don't care about their roster. I love stables so they have that going, but damn it get Omega away from the others so I can enjoy him. |

I made it through about 45 minutes of the first episode before I gave up on it. Nothing was working for me.
I'll try again in a few episodes time. I remember hating NXT when it first started with the 20 minutes Tyson Kidd/Curtis Axel main event and that show ended up getting good, so maybe this will too when they've figured out what works and what doesn't.

This is drawing a lot of attention because she up and left AEW with no explanation given from either side, and now she's going to appear on Impact. People are speculating that something happened behind the scenes or that AEW has a bad backstage environment.

They're finally playing to my interests.
I liked this week better minus excessive Jericho. They need to get rid of JR and Jericho. The quips at WWE are lame. I want to watch a promotion that is its own separate entity. I appreciate The Bucks losing. I'm happy that them Omega and Cody are not running over everyone. Omega's steady looking like a bitch though. It's still missing the goofiness I want from indies.
