I can't believe how bad this show was. Literally everything after Rollins vs. Miz was bad.
And almost every fucking match had an excruciatingly long resthold, it was so frustrating to watch.

I can't believe how bad this show was. Literally everything after Rollins vs. Miz was bad. And almost every fucking match had an excruciatingly long resthold, it was so frustrating to watch. It really is interesting seeing who booked what matches. Tyson Kidd booked Seth vs. Miz, and Johnny Ace booked Charlotte vs. Carmella. đź’€ |

Can we please have Carmella drop the title this Tuesday? I don't think I can ever sit through one of her singles matches again. I want her to get cocky (cockier?) after beating Charlotte so she puts out an open challenge that's answered by Becky, Naomi, or even Asuka. Then we can build to Charlotte facing one of those women for the title at SummerSlam, while battling The IIconics in the meantime. Carmella can then either go back to NXT to work on her in-ring abilities or she can be a valet. |

This show sounds horrible. And apparently people were leaving during the main event.
I remember back in the day Backlash was one of the better PPVs of the year most years.

They've really given up on Bayley haven't they? I will say, Ruby definitely carried that match. She's growing on me.
Nia vs Alexa wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The DDT off the apron to the stairs was cool. But it's for the best that Alexa gets written off. I think the problem with the match was there was only so much they could do, otherwise it was going to be exactly like their WM match. Nia has a limited move set, which makes sense for her character for being a powerhouse. What's frustrating about Alexa is that she has all the tools she needs to go far, but it feels like she's gotten apathetic because she was constantly booked to win clean. She's never had to uses a creative finish. I'm hoping that giving her some time off will give breathe new life into her. It's probably better if she comes back as a face anyways. Ultimately though I think she should go on to valet for Braun. They were a fun team and it'd give the division a new focal point (Ember and the Riott Squad).
Carmella is...interesting. She's got some weird benjamin button thing going on. Like she's continually gotten worse. I haven't watched her match with Charlotte yet, but from the sounds of it...it sounds terrible. I was trying to think back to her feud with Nikki, which I thought did wonders for her, but I think with Carmella I've always been blindsided. Like when she was feuding with Nikki, my attention was on Nikki. Or when James Ellsworth was managing her, he took a lot of attention off her wrestling. So now that she's attempting to stand on her own two feet, she's faltering. Maybe it's the leotard she put on, it could be riding up too much and throwing her off? With Asuka in the division she probably won't have the title very long.

I still like Carmella and she's been hilarious since winning the title. The match wasn't very good but I place that on both of them.
Charlotte is ever really amazing or kind of boring. Had that been Sasha vs Carmella I think we'd be talking about a much better match.
