Royal Rumble takeaways:
- It was amazing. Exceeded any and all expectations. - LOL at how much more you could see Sasha loved it that she got to kind of go heel. Eliminating Bayley, talking shit to Trish, the moment the fans started to boo her and cheer Asuka. Slapping Asuka and saying she was ready for her, directing the Bellas. She was living for it. - Three words: Molly Go Round. Molly looked amazing and hadn't missed a step, although I'm sad we didn't get a triple handspring elbow. - Asuka was probably the right winner in the end and the Rumble sold her to a lot of people I think. - I get the criticism of the Rousey revelation but if they use it correctly it could work, as they hinted at with Charlotte on SD. And they sold the moment well. She had more presence than I expected. - That Trish and Mickie moment was amazing. The crowd reaction... - Michelle did well. Good for her getting the pop that eluded her for six years. - Ember getting a better response than any of the male NXT-ers was great. She sold the Takeover match really well but still came off like a superstar. The Asuka showdown was fun. Kairi was great too. - All the returnees did well really. - Yay for Dana getting her moment and eliminating Kairi. - Becky and Sasha were a fitting first two. - I liked the Bella reunion but I feel like they could have chosen a stronger runner up than Nikki. It lacked tension. - You could tell Charlotte was gutted to not be involved in that match every time it flashed to her. - Stephanie wasn't good but wasn't overbearing. - Lol at Asuka faking out Ronda. - Lita's outfit was cool.

I think they should consider doing 20-25 next year and modifying the ropes to be a little lower. I realize they were trying to keep it on par with the guys and it worked this year because all of the returns were exciting. It will grow old if they keep making half the Rumble people returning, especially given the limited number of returning women they can use. It will also give room for the champions to have matches on the card or undercard w/e.
They should also consider modifying the turnbuckles so the ropes can be a few inches lower. I don't want them to bring back the second rope eliminations because it seems wonky, but a few of the eliminations would have definitely been smoother with a little less height on the top rope. Most of the women are significantly shorter than the guys and there's nothing wrong with taking that into consideration.

I've never seen the Gorilla position so crowded.

The participants in the first women's Rumble all got a plaque/signed piece of the ring canvas. Hopefully this generation doesn't have a Sunny or one of these will end up on eBay in a few years.

I spent five minutes judging their signatures. Beth's and Ms. Jacqueline's are the best. Most of them need their markers taken away.

Why do Trish and Lita look so small by comparison to everyone else?
