I keep reading the snitches name as Ricardo Rodriguez.
Roman Reigns may have taken a surprise spear.
The WWE superstar has been named as an alleged client of jailed steroid distributor Robert Rodriguez, who is being investigated by the DEA, Forbes reports.
Rodriguez's Wellness Fitness Nutrition LLC (WFN) was raided by the DEA last year following an investigation.
WFN's client list included "at least 50 customers in the Eastern District of New York" in a ring that made over $10 million in the distribution of illegal steroids, Forbes reports.
Rodriguez has come forward to name others in addition to Reigns in an interview with filmmaker Jon Bravo.
"At the end I'm just trying to clear my name and just make people well aware, there's [SIC]a lot more people out there that were involved and are associated with my company that many individuals did not know," Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez also said he chose to disclose Reins as part of his plea.
"He [Reigns] is a very down to earth person, however, a situation involved in which… often times when you're brought to trials - which I was not, I decided to take a plea - however, they disclose discovery. Discovery is basically the proof that they have against you, " Rodriguez said. "One thing, one part of the discovery is what's called tried and true statements, which is basically disclosing everybody whom the investigators or people that were investigating you have spoken to with regards to your company, with regards to you, with regards to any other co-defendants that are associated with the indictment. So, that's one of the reasons why I disclosed him."
Reigns has been previously suspended by WWE before. He was forced to sit out 30 days as a result of a wellness violation, which Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported as a positive test for Adderall.
The wrestler is expected to defend his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz next Monday at Raw's 25th Anniversary show.
It’s unclear how WWE will handle the allegations against Reigns.
