Rich Swann Arrested For Battery and False Imprisonment

Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned WWE Superstar Rich Swann is currently behind bars.

According to the Alachua County Sheriff in Florida, Swann was taken into custody around 12 am on Sunday and no bond amount has been listed.

The charges listed are battery and kidnap/false imprisonment of an adult.

UPDATE: Police just released the report stating it was a domestic issue with his wife. Swann is married to indie wrestler Su Yung.

This is horrendous. I really hope his wife is okay, because it doesn't sound like this was an isolated incident. I'm glad WWE have made the decision to suspend him, but that zero tolerance policy is complete bullshit, because if they really had no tolerance for domestic violence, then they wouldn't continue to work with Ric Flair, Stone Cold, Kurt Angle, etc.

It’s like what we were talking about on Twitter the other day. All these actors and comedians losing their jobs for being creeps, except for Johnny Depp, who’s still getting work and being DEFENDED, despite there being video evidence that we all saw of him being drunkenly verbally abusive to his wife at the time.



Or how all these politicians are resigning from sexual misconduct allegations, except for the president, who has the most of all.

I wanted to refrain from commenting until I read a more detailed account. My uncle got the same charges when he was trying to keep his crazy ass drunk ass ex-girlfriend from beating his ass so I wanted to be sure it wasn't that type of thing before jumping on the Swann's a piece of shit train. Anyway, Swann's a piece of shit.

According to an update provided by PWInsider, Swann has been released from the Alachua County Jail in Gainesville, Florida, but under a couple of conditions. First, he had to sign a release agreeing that he would not have any "direct or indirect hostile contact" with Yung. This was not a restraining order, though, as they are still allowed to live together. However, if Swann is reported to threaten, argue with, or belittle her, he would violate the release agreement and account for the violation accordingly. Swann also has to be in contact with court services within 24 hours of his release. According to the police report, Swann and Yung were driving home from her independent show, and Swann started to critique her performance on the show.

Yung became afraid that the argument was going to escalate, and proceeded to leave the car. Swann would then leave the car, chase after Yung, and place her in a headlock in order to force her back in the car. Yung stated that Swann is known to have a temper sometimes, and was afraid that it would escalate to physical violence. Swann denied these allegations, stating that Yung went into the car without force. He also stated that the GPS was on Yung's phone and he "needed her to come with it."

He's super gross and this is clearly not a one time thing. She will hopefully leave his disgusting ass and push for the charges to go through and not backpedal. I fully understand and feel empathy for the victim mentality, but it still annoys me when a woman who is not financially and socially dependent on a man puts up with the abuse. Since it's now more public I hope her friends help her out in getting away and staying away from him. Oh and he should be fired immediately and not just after a court ruling. This was a public venue and there had to be witnesses as well as damage to public property.
