It was a shitty ending, but in the long run WWE will just acknowledge Carmella as the first MitB winner and eventually forget about the Ellsworth thing cause it looks better in the history books. One of Undertaker's earliest wins at WrestleMania was via DQ but they never say that cause it looks better to just say he won.
Tho having said that, this was the equivalent of Paul Bearer making a pinfall for him. Stupid booking, but it was still a great match, and hopefully far from the last time we'll see it.

I'm just still stuck on why he couldn't knock Rebecca off the ladder and then push Carmella up it. I completely agree that it would have been 10000x better if he had piggybacked her up or something. Or if she was hanging on and the ladder fell and he helped her down. I'm just here for Carmella not winning clean. If he were not a joke or was the first one up I'd have more issues with it. I just like the prospect of her being built toward a reign and evolving to not needing the henchman. |
