Man, that ladder match was really sad. That is just such an awful booking decision, especially after that Women's Revolution promo they ran right before the match. I can't help it, but that was such a WWE thing to do. The match itself was great and I loved how hot the crowd was for it, but way to rob not only the fans of something truly historic, but the women themselves.
James Ellsworth is truly the Santina of the Women's Division and it's unfortunate we still have jokes like him around.

I'm rewatching it now. I think what makes it even worse is they were putting on such a good match. There's just absolutely no reason he couldn't have helped her win, without winning it for her.

Absolutely. This doesn't benefit Carmella in the slightest, but it benefits the other guy and that's even more infuriating. That's what happens when I get to comfortable with WWE.

As stupid as her return was, I thought them having Mike take Maria's last name was cool. But then I realized this is WWE where a man can win the first ever women's MITB match, so I expect repetitive punchlines from JBL for however long this lasts.

I for real just woke up and had to think to myself for a moment whether last night was real or some weird dream. Ellsworth winning the women's MitB, Maria and Mike debuting with that weird gimmick, Lana being possessed by the wrestling spirit of Rosa Mendes, etc. It was so strange.
