I always get so long winded with these things.
JacquelineLike - She was a fantastic foil for Sable. I loved their promo battles. And it was pretty funny the handful of times Stacy and Torrie got thrown in the ring with her and you knew she was gonna fuck them up.
Dislike - Pretty much what Tiarnán said. She never evolved with the times or changed anything up, from her look to her gear to her moveset.
Sable Like - I make it no secret that I loved Sable, but I do feel like while I enjoyed both of her runs, I seem to be the only one who preferred her as a babyface in the 90's to her heel run in 2003. She was just downright feral in the ring at times, and everything was a moment. And of course I'll always remind you that she opened doors for a
women's division, and therefor your faves. Not Sunny, or Chyna. "You get your ass back here, you little bitch!"
Dislike - I wish she would have wrestled more during her second run, even if she relied on smoke and mirrors.
DebraLike - She had pretty hair.
Dislike - I think even more so than The Kat, Debra's push was probably when the women's division hit rock bottom. At least The Kat wrestled, albeit in gimmick matches. Did Debra ever even take a bump?
IvoryLike - She was really good at getting heat.
Dislike - I was never really a huge Ivory fan. Like, I can't even think of anything that I particularly liked or disliked about her. She was just kinda there, until she wasn't.
The Fabulous MoolahLike - She and Mae were always a kiki. I especially loved when they got in Jeff Jarrett's business. That GIF of them running down to the ring during his match is iconic.
Dislike - Obviously everything that went down behind the scenes.
Miss KittyLike - I thought Miss Kitty was fun. I loved the mini-Chyna stuff, and it was cool character development from being Jarrett's valet. And like Tiarnán said, I liked the fun wigs and her feud with Terri. She didn't bother me.
Dislike - Again, I'll agree. She doesn't seem to have much of an identity of herself as someone in wrestling, but more like, I'm here as this wrestler's girlfriend.
Stephanie McMahonLike - She was really good at playing Vince's spoiled daughter in the early 2000's.
Dislike - It's always so brutal to watch her talk down to, or even physically assault the talent these days, to no comeuppance. It's like watching them be neutered, and she does it to everyone. And on top of that, while she's obviously a successful business woman, she seems like a bit of an idiot, and a garbage person to boot.
LitaLike - Lita was just cool. She was tough, and she connected to the fans effortlessly.
Dislike - Awful voice. That promo she had before retiring where they finally let her give it to the fans just fell kinda flat to me because her voice was so awful, lol.
ChynaLike - It was awesome that she wrestled the men, and hung with them, for that matter. Because she did only wrestle the men until her last few months, I never really thought of her doing much for the women in the company, aside from herself, but I re-watched a lot of Attitude Era stuff not long ago and the program with Jarrett was phenomenal, and I realized that I had been wrong. And it's great that she was the first to do all that stuff, like win a men's title, or enter the Royal Rumble. Ever since then, when they've had a woman do it, it's felt kind of gimmicky, but with Chyna it was just so organic.
Dislike - It doesn't seem like she had the best attitude backstage. From everything that I've read (
including her own autobiography) and heard, it seems like she felt entitled, but maybe that just came with the territory of who she was hanging out with behind the scenes.
Trish StratusLike - Trish really was great from the get-go, and in every role that she was given. From valeting, to the storyline with Vince, to wrestling.
Dislike - Trish was a pretty bad actress. That crying scene with Jericho comes to mind...
JazzLike - Sooo vicious. Of Trish's rogues gallery of antagonists, Jazz was my favorite.
Dislike - The braids weren't a great look, especially when they were starting to come undone and she left them like that for weeks.
Molly HollyLike - Such a crisp, clean worker, and she seems like a really kind woman to boot. I heard that when Crash Holly died she raised money for his daughter's college fund, which I thought was really nice.
Dislike - I watched one of those Table for Three shows that she was on with Michelle McCool and Candice Michelle, and she seemed really condescending to them.
VictoriaLike - Great entrance music. She and Trish did a lot of great things together, and with everything from the hardcore matches, to the chair shot, to her cage match with Lita, she pushed a lot of envelopes for the women and what they were capable of.
Dislike - Yeah, the dancing stuff was atrocious. And so were the bangs.
Gail KimLike - Out of everyone on this list, Gail probably has the best catalog of great matches. Don't tug at my wig for this, but Charlotte is probably the only one who I would say could touch her, and even she has quite a few more epic matches to put on before she's in Gail's league.
Dislike - Not the best heel.
Mickie JamesLike - The psycho stuff was obviously fun. She has a lot of presence, so it's no wonder she rose to super-stardom the way that she did. And you just have to respect someone who's worked that long. I mean, I knew the name Alexis Laree long before I knew her as Mickie James.
Dislike - Awful attires. Especially towards the end - the one with the hat. And she wore it all the time and I just started to get the impression that it smelled. Her music really sucks, too.
MelinaLike - She cultivated one of the most iconic gimmicks, and characters of all time. An amazing heel, especially against the likes of Candice and Ashley. She made great underdogs out of them, and a lot of the times blurred the lines of kayfabe, which got us Diva fans really invested in their stuff.
Dislike - As great as she was as a heel, she was equally as bad at being a babyface. In my opinion.
Candice MichelleLike - Candice was such a showgirl. I think so often WWE would just hire pretty faces, and then they'd go on TV and they'd suck, but Candice knew how to turn it on and have fun with it, which is important in wrestling, and especially on TV. She was easily the star of Vince's Devils, and that was with her being a rookie in a trio with
Torrie Wilson and
Victoria. Let that sink in. And of all the models-turned-wrestlers, I found her story to be the most inspiring. No, she wasn't the best, but her passion really shined, and she was always adding moves to her repertoire. Such a great babyface.
Dislike - I'm pretty sure she voted for Donald Trump.
Beth PhoenixLike - Great matches with Candice Michelle. They told a good story together, and Beth played her part very well.
Dislike - Aside from that, Beth just never gave me what I needed. I go back to Jazz, and how brutal she was. And Beth wasn't that girl. Like, she was big, and she threw her opponents around, but it's like she never put in that extra effort to be a real, bad ass... well, bitch. The extent of her attitude was clenching her jaw and flaring her nostrils. And she had so many pushes, and I get that it was because she was such a reliable talent, but after a well, and with her never really changing it up, it got stale.
Michelle McCoolLike - Athletic. She had some really nice gear. And I actually liked her when they started to push her as a babyface.
Dislike - We had such a great women's division at the time. And I always think about how we had so many women, like Melina, and Mickie James, and Maryse, and Natalya, and Beth Phoenix, and Michelle, and that group of women seemed like they were the "main event" stars of the women's division, and it was so cool that we had so many established, talented women like that. And then LayCool buried them all. And then Michelle left. And Layla got injured. And it was all for nothing, really. Also she was so flat on the mic. Like I've said about Vickie, the heat that LayCool got wasn't because they were good at being bad. They were just bad.
LaylaLike - She wore some really pretty attires. Specifically the Money in the Bank one, against Kelly Kelly.
Dislike - Everything else. The accent, the comedy. That obligatory push she got upon returning from injury was merciless.
-----------------------------------------------------------
MaryseLike - I always say that Maryse was good at covering her flaws. She stuck to what she knew, and she did it well, and she totally cultivated that persona all on her own. Like Candice, I think she was a natural at the TV aspect, and when you have that, you can go out there and not fall flat on your face, even if you don't know what you're doing, lol. I lived for her broken English reads. And she's currently probably the best valet WWE has had
since Melina.
Dislike - She is too fabulous to be out here with these choppy weaves.
Jillian HallLike - Not to be confused with what I was saying about Gail and Charlotte, who put on great matches, but Jillian to me is probably second behind Molly in terms of technique. And the Britney gimmick was a lot of fun. I liked the feud between her and Ashley.
Dislike - She overdid it with the cosmetic stuff. Like, a lot.
Eve TorresLike - Like you were saying, I could always tell WWE wanted to push Eve so badly because she was an educated woman of color and she was eloquent and classy and she was great for their image, and it is hard to dislike her.
Dislike - Eve suffered from what's going on with Alexa Bliss now. She was pushed to the top way too early before she was established, and she failed. She was quite bad, and her character was very generic and corny, and on top of that, she ended Maryse's Divas title reign.
Alicia FoxLike - Very athletic. And I think the crazy stuff is really funny (
because it's so ridiculous).
Dislike - It kinda goes with the crazy thing which I just praised. Like, her acting is always so ridiculous in those scenes, but I get the impression that she doesn't take any of it seriously. Like, she's goofy, and it's funny to her, and it comes across funny on TV, but I think that's why she's never had real success. She just seems like she's along for the ride and does what she's told, but doesn't take it serioiusly. Which is probably why she's lasted this long too, tbh.
NatalyaLike - I've never cared about the "wrestling" in wrestling. Like, I like the characters, and the segments and stories, and the culmination of a big match, but never about how long two wrestlers can chain wrestle back and forth. But Natalya is one of the very few who I've ever enjoyed watching actually wrestle.
Dislike - She is sooo corny. Especially as a babyface. Like, the audience has literally started to turn against her on the mic before, she's that bad. Luckily she had Charlotte there to shift the heat back onto herself.
Brie BellaLike - I still say Brie was the MVP of the women's division in the summer of 2013. She had that match with Natalya, and then there was the Total Divas vs. AJ, where she was clearly the strongest of the Total Divas. Also the stuff with Stephanie was pretty great. It's just too bad Brie didn't get to come out on top. And actually I even enjoyed the Bellas feud with each other.
Dislike - She's pretty awful to Nikki on Total Divas. And I still find her suspect simply for being attracted to Daniel Bryan.
Kelly KellyLike - Kelly was the spot monkey of the Divas division, and I mean that in a good way. She was always diving out of the ring from the top rope. She took that kendo stick shot from The Sandman. At 19 she faced the brutal crowd at the Hammerstein Ballroom and let Tommy Dreamer spank her with a palm full of blood. Kelly had guts, and she was willing to do whatever WWE threw at her, and she quickly earned my respect. And she really benefited from being on ECW and having all those storylines and character development, because a lot of her peers didn't.
Dislike - The running of the ropes. The screaming. The dirty snow boots. Her tracks always showing. "Come on, AJ!" etc.
Nikki BellaLike - She's truly probably had the best turn around of any model-turned-wrestler. I mean, even those of us who once hated her, and may not even necessarily be the biggest fans of her now, still can't deny her the respect that she's earned.
Dislike - Henny, give that red lip a rest.
KaitlynLike - Hmm. She was likable on NXT.
Dislike - Probably one of the worst I've ever seen in the ring. She was always winded, and her matches never had any flow. It's like, she'd do a move, then stand there awkwardly like she was trying to remember what to do next, then move into another move, etc. That feud with AJ was so brutal to me. And the skunk hair and that flared zippered vest she always wore...
AJ LeeLike - Good speaker, though I typically found her subject matter to be problematic.
Dislike - Like I was just saying, I think AJ had a pretty bad idea of what feminism is.
PaigeLike - Awesome theme. Consistently solid performer. And I really liked that Paige ended up being the anti-AJ in terms of how she felt about the other women. It was pleasantly surprising.
Dislike - I wish she had never done Total Divas. I think it totally exposed how immature and boy crazy she is, and it ruined her character.
CharlotteLike - G.O.A.T. She's easily already going to go down in history with the likes of Trish, Lita and Alundra Blayze.
Dislike - It feels like a moot point since she's already gotten better and proved that she doesn't need him, but it was annoying when it felt like she didn't have an identity outside of being Ric Flair's daughter.
----------------------------------------------
Sasha BanksLike - She and Charlotte put on a really great program together, and I think with what we're seeing right now with Charlotte and Bayley, which isn't so great, I've realized that Sasha was just as vital to that as Charlotte. And like Melina and Maryse she cultivated a persona for herself.
Dislike - I really hated what an entitled crybaby she came across as. And it's the same with Bayley. Like, Charlotte beats them clean, and then the next night on Raw, they're whining about a rematch they don't deserve.
----------------------------------------------
Becky LynchLike - I think Becky is extremely pretty, and she's a solid worker.
Dislike - It's not even the accent that makes her so bad on the mic, but everything she's saying. It makes me so embarrassed to listen to her talk.
Alexa BlissLike - She has a great selection of signature moves. Probably the biggest of any female atm.
Dislike - She wasn't ready for the title, and she didn't deserve it, and her reign, like Becky's, has been a flop.
----------------------------------------------
BayleyLike - We both think dinosaurs are cool.
Dislike - I think her moveset is awful. She's the worst speaker on the roster. She's proven to be an even bigger main roster failure than Becky Lynch. She's not a very pleasant person to look at.
AsukaLike - It'll be exciting when Ember Moon wins the title from her.
Dislike - I wish she'd sell for the other women.
