So I was at Falls Park in Greenville last night, standing on a bridge looking at a waterfall and in that moment I was really captivated by the beauty of nature and thinking about how small and inconsequential our lives are and what the the world would look like without civilization building over it and all of a sudden my serenity gets disrupted by this group of 20-something goths yelling out, "Oh my God, a Charmander!"

Like the app was fun at first but dis tew much.

This Pokémon Go Player Just Became The Very First To Catch Them All



Well, all the Pokémon available in the US, at least.

Of the missing nine, three (Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, and Mr. Mime) are only available outside the country, and six (Articuno, Ditto, Mew, Mewtwo, Moltres, and Zapdos) have never been spotted anywhere and are believed to be uncatchable at this time.

Nick Johnson, 28, the Brooklyn-based Pokémaster, told BuzzFeed he walked an average of eight miles a day for two weeks to complete his collection.



And in that time, he got to level 31, caught 4,629 Pokémon (609 of which were Pidgeys, lol), hatched 303 eggs, walked a grand total of 153 kilometers (about 95 miles), and lost a whopping 10 pounds — and yes, he has a job.

“I work 50 hour weeks, sometimes more,” Johnson, who works at a tech company called Applico, wrote. “So I do that during the week, and then after that, I would go out at about 6:00 PM and stay out basically until I had to go home and pass out.”

He also said he caught them all in New York City, except for Dratini and Porygon, which he found in New Jersey.

After another player told him he found a bunch of Dratini in Jersey City, he took the train there to catch them.

“A Porygon popped on the radar there, and I had no idea where it was,” he said. “So, I ordered an Uber, hopped in, and had the guy drive me around until I found it.”
