Over the past couple of days I got the seventh and eighth Gym Badges - which makes this the farthest I've ever gotten in Emerald = and now we're headed to the Pokémon League. |

My favourite Pokemon on my copy of Emerald was a shiny Golbat. I'd never found a shiny in the wild before, and I still haven't found another since, so I'll always cherish it. I actually didn't even notice it was shiny until a few days after I caught it though, lol. I was gutted that the only shiny Pokemon I've ever caught was a Golbat though, because I thought Goldbats sucked, but this one convinced me that maybe they don't suck. Anyway, I cared for it enough that it eventually evolved into Crobat, and then I went off if it, because the shiny version of Crobat didn't look as obviously shiny as Golbat did.
Anyway, nice little random Pokemon memory for you all.

I've only encountered two Shiny Pokémon. One was a Shiny Venonat in Alpha Sapphire which I managed to catch, and the other was just the other day when I threw Crystal back on to hunt for Raikou and encountered a Shiny Growlithe. I didn't realize it was Shiny until the moment I clicked Run though.  |

We're the new Pokémon League Champion(s)!   Being a Normal type, Astro's Delcatty didn't have a type advantage against anyone in the Elite Four, so I didn't bring her along, but with Strength and Flash she was vital in getting through Victory Road so we couldn't have done it without her either.  That's the third game in the books, and I know I said it would be the last but I do have Leaf Green on my computer and having a team of seven this go around made me think of doing a "remake" of our first play-through and using the same team, but also letting Tiarnán and Jayzero pick two more Pokémon of their own for our biggest team yet.  EDIT: Never mind I actually don't have Leaf Green.  |
