9/7/10 NXT S3 Thoughts?

Introductions
Kaitlyn - Had no idea what the fuck she was talking about...something about wedgies and blowing up mailboxes.
Aksana - Please take note, broken English from comes off creepy. Maryse has that market cornered.
Maxine - Her promo was actually pretty decent. I think she'd make a great manager or some kind of GM role.
AJ - Why are you so adorable? Her promo was probably the most heartfelt and believable.
Jamie - She's a great talker, but she put me to sleep. Her promo was soooo cliche`. I was hoping she'd be more Ashley-esque (minus the prostitution)
Naomi - She killed it. And was easily the most over.

Dance Off -
Seriously?

Alicia/Maxine vs Kelly/Naomi
First of all what the fuck was Maxine wearing? Seriously someone explain that to me. Secondly Kelly and Alicia looked great in the ring. Like they actually tried to look like pros. Naomi was impressive and can only get better. Maxine... Did I mention that Naomi was great?! There was some kind of misunderstanding at the end, which overshadowed the match. Naomi proceeded to pin Maxine AFTER the match was over...

Challenge

Was kind of exciting to watch. Going into this show I picked Jamie as my favorite. She failed. So I've decided on AJ and Naomi (and possibly Kaitlyn). Once again Naomi owned this.

Naomi gets to speak and she doesn't come off as a character, but more like a real person. I loved that.

Primo/AJ vs Goldust/Aksana

Match was meh, there was a botched finish. AJ tried to go for that bulldog Trish used to do (you know where she like wraps her legs around her or something), but I guess there was some kind of misstep. But they were smart enough to not leave it at a botch. They ended up trying to redo it (in a not so subtle way), and succeeded, though AJ landed it weird but gets the three count.

Vickie bitches out dragging her rookie Kaitlyn, whom is growing on me now. She's got a white trash-Nidia with Jamie Noble feel to her. Also looks like a poor man's Velvet Sky. Anyways Vickie is bitching about Kaitlyn sucking on the mic and tells her to do it over (again), Primo disagrees along with AJ. AJ talks smack to Vickie, who in turn tells Kaitlyn to attack her. Fail. AJ throws Kaitlyn into Vickie, Vickie throws a bitch fit. NXT is over.

It honestly wasn't too bad. I'm hoping that Jamie will try to win me over again. And I think Kaitlyn makes a great character. I feel bad for her being stuck with Vickie.

I think it'll ultimately come down to AJ, Naomi, and Kaitlyn. I'm expecting AJ and Naomi to be the most over in the competition, while Kaitlyn will probably be kept for storyline progression. Aksana who? Maxine what?

I’ve only seen the first half of the show so far but I can already tell that AJ and Naomi are going to be my favorites, as I expected they would be.

The dance-off was dumb but I’m sure that’ll end up being one of the least demeaning challenges they’re faced with in the coming weeks. Michael Cole’s dance moves were horrific.

The end of that tag match was a hot mess. Jackie Gayda/Trish would be proud.

Still to see the rest.

I too liked Naomi, but one thing that made me cringe...
"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyy Baltimore!!"

My rankings for this season:
1. AJ: I love everything about her. To me, she's a likable Mickie James. She's cute, bubbly, and looks like Lacey Chabert/Jennifer Love Hewitt - I can see her being a top face Diva.
2. Kaitlyn: I don't know what it is but I kinda fell in love with her on Tuesday. I can see her being a great heel or a good face, but she should be a manager more than a wrestler. She reminded me of Tori from the late 90's who is one of my favorite all-time divas.
3. Naomi: She comes off extremely natural and has a good look. WWE has been needing a good "sistah" to fill Jacqueline's spot for years now. Layla and Alicia (although I like both) were not cutting it. (Sharmell was good before the queen gimmick)
4. Aksana: Love her. Love the cute foreign Kristin Chenoweth look, love the Bruno accent, love the pairing with Goldust. WWE should keep her as his manager. It makes both more interesting.

5. Maxine: Wannabe Mileena - And she cheated like crazy at capture the flag. Points to Naomi for knocking that bitch on her ass, though that just ended up helping her cheat more. (the fact that she looks like my ex doesn't help either)

Allow me to assess this mess.

Naomi: I would say out of all the girls she's the "total package" (or has the potential to be, anyways). She's only just been wrestling for a year as of last week and she's already that impressive of a worker? Of course she can only get better and when she does she's gonna be a good one. The fans are connecting with her because she's personable and comfortable with them. It's like she's one of them. She kind of reminds me of Ashley Massaro in that sense, and that's meant to be a compliment. And she obviously has the look. I bet Layla was sweating out her weave when Naomi dethroned her as the ~dancing Diva.

AJ: I like her okay. Her promo was pretty cheesy, but I think that's her. She's a self-professed nerd after all. I like it, it's different, but she seemed kind of nervous. I guess she had good reason to be though.

Kaitlyn: Immediately when she came out something about her annoyed me, but like a pesky VD she's grown on me, and apparently a few of you as well. Maybe it's because she hasn't even been in FCW two months yet and I'm just looking forward to the sheer awkwardness that's sure to follow on her behalf.

Aksana: I like people who speak broken English.

Maxine: An absolute disastuh in the ring. What was that corner move? A bronco buster body scissors? She's a mess, but I think she would be good in a professional character role, like Amy Webber or something. She should play someone's assistant.

Jamie: Might as well have been a wet mop.

As far as the matches go, Naomi was really impressive in the tag match. She looked just as good in there as Kelly and Alicia, but that finish was so embarrassing. I guess there was a miscommunication. I think Alicia was supposed to push the small package over so Maxine was pinning Naomi, but she didn't get a chance to before Kelly jumped her and the referee counted the three. I guess from there Naomi and Maxine just went to finish the match as planned, but boo, it's already over. Everyone involved looked really stupid, especially Kelly and Alicia. As the pros they should have taken control of the situation and tried to break up Naomi and Maxine's "after match brawl" but instead they just kind of stood aside and pretended not to see it.

I don't remember much about the mixed tag match, other then the botch, but as I said earlier, I'm sure they were just a little nervous, and it's nothing we don't see from *beep* and Alicia every Monday night. They recovered nicely.

Now, on a more serious note. Maxine, wtf was that outfit? For a second I thought the pros hazed her backstage and tp'd her. Handle that.
