I don't think either of the Bellas or Bryan come off bad. Really I think Maryse is coming out of this thing looking worse and the whole thing sounds dumb anyway. Stop before I add Melina for posting Morrison's personal info that time. |

I don't think Maryse is despicable either though, it all just sounds really petty and silly. But then I don't know how much of this shoot stuff is being played up for drama either.

I'm not a particularly big Nikki fan but her interview rings true with reports at the time. The big rumour a month or two before WM was of a five on five match with the five women returning, then it kinda fizzled away for a while. The Bellas randomly popped up a little later and did the Total Divas thing. I don't see what would have been gained from blocking anyone's return.

I say Maryse is coming off worse because she seems to be the one deadset on hanging onto the feud, if this stuff is real. You're rich, your husband is rich and you're now both employed. And she was the one who was saying about how she was glad to be leaving and didn't mind being let go in 2011 so meh.
And don't get me started on the year of Twitter and interview rants from Maria.

Nikki told Rosenberg yesterday that they were only ever work friends with Maryse and were closer to Barbie ( who she still also called a bitch), when Brie and Nikki both talked about how much they loved Maryse, who they shared an apartment with in FCW, in their shoot and called her their "lil momo" and talked about how while they both loved her, she and Nikki were closer than her and Brie lol. I am not gonna entertain Nicole Garcia's lies. If you want to, that's fine, but don't get my girl fucked up in the process. It's draining to keep talking about though which is why I wish she'd just own up to it and apologize, but she'll have to come to terms with the truth someday. At least she'll probably be leaving soon. |

They say everyone is like a sister in that video. My perception is that they were friends with all of them but Nikki was close to Kelly and Brie was closer to Maryse. I imagine whatever ill feelings there are now have shrouded their past relationship.
What I can gather from whole thing is that they'd been chatting about this return, it'd fallen to the wayside, the Bellas got offered a separate deal and it got misconstrued. If WWE were really keen to sign Kelly Kelly - who was FAR more over and popular with the audience than the twins at the time - then they would have, and I don't see the twins going out of their way to block her contract either. And it's just never been properly addressed because feelings were hurt and nobody has bothered trying to discuss what really happened and what's been missed on either side.
Furthermore, the Twins had been talking about their departure as temporary for quite a while and from what I got through interviews the idea was that they were always going to return at some point.

So, why didn't they? And the Bellas claim E! passed on Barbie and Maryse, but snatched Maryse up for Total Divas the second she was back with the company and picked up WAGS... lol. Because it was never a priority for them at that point. They wanted that lot back for the WrestleMania deal, it fell through. They then got into talks with E! who suggested the Bellas and that was that.

Nikki got Total Divas cause of Cena who was probably sick of her sitting on his couch and fucking up the plastic wrap, and she brought Brie along with her. No one gave 2 fucks about The Bella Twins before Total Divas, certainly not television executives who had to be explained to what a Diva even was. |
