The video isn't that bad. You just see her falling through the gap. It's completely unacceptable that it happened. They were aware of it and failed to turn it off. Not only that they gave a very half-assed attempt to help her.
I feel completely justified in my fear of escalators now. My friends judge me for opting for the stairs instead, but just wait until they get swallowed.

When I was a kid my uncle used to tell me that I could get my pants/shoe laces caught and it would suck me in. I always jump off at the end where it goes under. This part:  I didn't even know I needed to be afraid of the metal floor on the end. This is a whole new fear. While searching for that picture I ran into way too many pictures of people getting caught in them and various other accidents. Valid fear. |

I used to have an abnormal love for escalators when I was a child. Any chance I had to use them I would. I have to hold a friend's hand just to step onto one and now I never will again. You can never call me a pussy again. |
