B Fizzle - Steph (loveable if unreliable French teacher...notorious for flirting with young male visitors, and at one point Lesbian Head of French Jo Lipsett. Adopts a drug addict student and pulls her out of the crack scene, but breaks down when she (her new daghter) is killed by Rose Kelly's son. Eventually marries Chris Meade's dad. Best friend of Grantly)
Burke - Grantly (aging English teacher who has been teaching for 30+ years @ the school. Husband of Fleur, who contracts Alzymer's. Best friend of Steph, and close friend of Tom and Ruby. Very pro-Labour, and yet oddly conservative in early episodes. Almost gets fired when his entire English A-Level class cover the wrong course. Has a brief stint with alcoholism. Seemingly hates the students he teaches, but everyone loves him all the same.)
Tarry - Tom (Ex-husband of Izzie, who commits suicide. Has an affair with and eventually marries her best friend Lorna, who also commits suicide IIRC. Adopts her two daughters. Shacks up with Davina, who runs away, and then alcoholic-turned-dinner-lady Rose Kelly, followed by Spanish teacher Miss Montoya. Finds that he has a son from a past fling, who ultimately turns out to be gay)
JayZero - Kim Campbell (outspoken feminist art teacher who falls in love with the deputy head and leaves with him to do work in Africa. Comes back with her mother's baby hidden in her suitcase or something like that, but the dad eventually comes to England and has her stalked until she has to give up the kid. Has various relationships with the evil Max, who impregnates her, and Chris Meade)
Astro - Chris Meade (Science teacher and deputy head. Falls for the principal, and then Kim Campbell. Eventually sleeps with the new head's daughter, but doesn't realise who she is. Comes up with big, unorthadox ideas such as segregating the school by gender, but they always tend to bomb on him)
Me - Matt Wilding (gay Drama/Music/English/Art teacher who temporarily adopts Rose Kelly's (see below) daughter Sam. Friend of Steph and Jasmine, and at one point ran the ris k of contracted HIV)
Mutant - Ruby (Home Ec teacher who is initally elitist and snobbish but becomes grounded when her husband's business goes under and she is forced to settle for much less than what she has. Feuds with the headteacher and kisses her husband at one point during an emotional breakdown. Writes an erotic novel with the help of Grantly and gets it published. Leaves the school)
Angelwings - Jo Lipsett (Lesbian French head teacher who knows Steph from way back. Tricks Steph into thinking she wants to sleep with her, and later apologizes. Mentors a young student who falls in love with her and accuses her of sexual harrassment when Jo rejects her advances, forcing Jo to give up teaching)
Worldsstrongestman - Rob Cleaver (P.E. teacher who at one point dates Jasmine. Was a boxing champion in his teen years, but fell to injury. Was doing well for himself until he starting championing Bolton as a boxer. Living through the student, he gave Bolton steroids which fucked him up. Rob was never seen again)
Zino - Miss Montoya (Spanish teacher who at one point dates Tom, but eventually falls in love with a student. Gets pregnant with his baby, gets engaged to him and intends to get married but is discovered by the school authorities. She and her fiance run to Scotland, get married and run away to Spain or somewhere similar, away from the police)
Malfunkshun - Janeece (as a student she got her boobs done and went into modelling at one point, but grew to regret and seemingly had the implants removed. Returned to the school as secretary, and was revealed to be pregnant. Was initially going to give Ruby her baby, but decided against it, which led to a bit of tug of war)
Matt - Rose Kelly (Irish ex-alcohol mother of four. Oldest son was a model student, next son killed Steph's adopted daughter and is in prison, daughter and son currently at WR. Named her daughter after her favourite drink. Pulled herself out of alcoholism and became the school's dinner lady. Began dating Tom, and despite breaking up the two are apparently close friends)
