I'm moving next week, and I'm thinking of getting a credit card and buying a MacBook Pro so I don't have to take my desktop and computer desk with me, because I want the new place to feel less cluttered. That doesn't sound like that big of a deal, but I've never had a credit card, because when I was in high school, our math teacher incorporated finances into what he was teaching us, and we watched a lot of Dave Ramsey videos and it was drilled into our heads that credit cards are bad and a gateway to debt, so everything I have I've paid for myself on the spot. And unfortunately, I've never gained credit for any of it and I had to have my mom co-sign for the car I got last year lol. But after talking to a couple of people about it I actually wish I'd gotten a credit card a long time ago.
After I pay off the MacBook I might even buy a PS4 Pro. 🤫

I bought this today solely for the days when I don't feel like getting out of bed to sit at my desktop: Oh yeah, the reason I'm wanting a MacBook is because this laptop is a HOT piece of trash, I can't even watch YouTube videos on it lmao.

I've ordered Halloween Horror Nights tickets for mid/late September. I haven't even booked my flight to Florida yet but I can sort that shit later. I had been trying to decide whether to go this or next year but once they announced that there's going to be a Killer Klowns From Outer Space scare zone this year I feel like they basically made that decision for me. Jayzero , you've been to the Universal Hollywood one, right? What stuff was there and how was it? I'm hoping they announce a Halloween house. I really want Michael Myers to scare me to death. I also wouldn't mind a Paranormal Activity or some other kind of ghostly one. Of the stuff announced so far Trick R Treat is the house I'm most looking forward to.

Burke... ... ... Don't you have a problem with your heart? I mention this every time the man watches a horror movie. Anyways, Burke is lucky I'm still broke from my move, because I'd plan a vacation for the same week and finally beat his ass for y'all.

If my heart gives out because of a killer clown suddenly coming at me then I really can’t think of a more fitting way to go so I’m not too worried.

Jayzero , you've been to the Universal Hollywood one, right? What stuff was there and how was it? I don't know much about the Florida version, but the Hollywood version is definitely the best Halloween event of all the parks around here (Astro might argue, but sorry, Knott's sucks). The use of their IP's help them immensely. There is always the presence of Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, and Chucky. Michael makes the occasional appearance, and with the new movie I'm sure he'll have a house. They're always trying to pimp out their new films with a haunted house. The mazes are usually very well themed. I remember The Shinning one last year felt just like walking through the movie. Universal certainly doesn't cheap out when it comes to the set up. They are a movie studio tho, so it's to be expected. Again, I'm not sure exactly how the Florida one is set up. I've always heard it was better because it's the original, but then I've also heard the Hollywood one wins out because it uses it's actual set pieces on the backlot like the plane crash neighborhood from War of the Worlds, and the original Psycho House and Bates Motel sets. I'm sure Florida more than makes up for it with their larger space tho. The rides also get themed slightly if they can. At the end of Jurassic Park here, just before the T-Rex attacks you, they add a bunch of animatronics of Raptors eating JP employees while it plays "Welcome to the Jungle" lol. Sadly they won't have that here this year as they're closing JP down to make way for Jurassic World next year. *tear* You should have fun tho. I definitely recommend and think it's well worth the admission. One thing you should look into, over here they close the park down around 6 and re-open with separate admission for Horror Nights at 7. But you can actually get in early at like 5 and go to the lower lot houses at 5 when there is nobody in line. It saves soooooo much time, because it gets insanely crowded. I waited 2 hours for Freddy vs Jason 2 years ago, but last year I went through AHS: Roanoke twice in 20 mins. So see if there is an early admission area and take advantage of that. Also, if you got the day/night combo pass, chaeck to make sure if you're allowed to leave the park when they close, or if they send you to a specific area until they reopen, because we tried to leave and come back once and it was such a hassle to get back in because we weren't supposed to leave.

Scarowinds is where it's really at. I believe this one is probably very good as well, because Carowinds is the same company as Knott's, and Knott's used to be the best out here. I just don't like Knot's specifically because their safety record is terrible and it's run by idiots. Does Scarowinds do The Hanging show where they hang a celebrity (impersonator) every year?

Knott's has nothing on HHN. The only reason I'd prefer Knotts Scary Farm is because it's closer. But HHN is really reallllly fun.
