France's version of Trump got trounced quite soundly. After the whole Brexit thing I have no faith in the Brits (sorry Tarry) and have little hope of them actually doing the right thing and electing Corbyn though.

I'm not even slightly joking anymore when I say I'm terrified of Trump. At first I thought he was just an idiot, but he's an idiot with a huge ego surrounded by evil power hungry people who have complete control of his ear, like many kings and dictators. And people roll their eyes at saying Trump could become a dictator because it's 2017 and this is America and there's no way we'll ever have a dictator in office. I'm sure Germany thought the same damn thing in the 40's, and the fact that it's 2017 means jack shit because there are dictators all around the world. "But checks and balances," well that's pretty broken at the moment, especially when this guy keeps getting rid of everyone who goes against him. Honestly.
Giving voice and power to a violent, hateful minority: Dictator
Trying to silence and turn the public against the media: Dictator
Firing anyone in government who goes against you: Dictator
Getting rid of healthcare for the people, allowing those in power to keep it: Dictator
Constantly ranting and raving in a public forum (twitter): Dictator
Firing the FBI director during an investigation into connections to Russia, then having a meeting with two top Russian diplomats the next day: Fucking terrifying

I'm probably going to vote Labour (therefore voting for Corbyn in the overall scheme of things) but I'm really not sure he's the right man for the job, which is fine because he can always be replaced if necessary. I would vote Lib Dems, but their leader has been asked many times if he believes homosexuality is a sin and has refused to answer instead of clearing it up, so I can't in good conscience vote for a party that has someone like him as their leader. Fuck the Conservatives and UKIP though, I'd never vote for those shitheads. |

Corbyn's a weak candidate, not due to his own actions, but people's weird feelings towards the guy, but it's less about him and more about Labour really needing the win here. It's unfortunate that the polls are favoring May so much. Also, the differences between our elections and yours are so drastic. Ours go on for years before the voting even takes place.
I hate that the longer Trump's presidency goes on the more respect I gain for our dickhead Governor and shit junior senator. They're awful, but at least are not bending over backward to worship at the altar of Trump like others.

CNN is one of the only channels I have right now and every time I switch it on there's some new Trump scandal. I couldn't put up with this shit for four years.
Sean Spicer may be the worst of them all. I don't think I've ever felt like punching someone in the face so bad.
