Looking ahead to WrestleMania XXX

Discuss any hopes/predictions/thoughts you have for what will arguably be the biggest WM of all time.

I like to make one of these a year or so out and then bump it around January to see how things are shaping up compared to how we thought/hoped they would (although I think I forgot to do it this/last year).

I’m hoping they hype it like they did WM XX when they started showing the “x days until WM” graphic really far out (I think it was about this time of the year – I remember shows in the summer of 2003 where they already had the WM XX logo up in every arena they went to). And to add to the countdown, when we get to exactly 30 weeks away (which isn’t too far off) they could start showing one clip each week from a prior WM until they cover them all. Also like WM XX, I hope the show gets 5 hours. I know a lot of people at the time felt that was too much but I liked it and thought it made it seem bigger than the average WM.

As far as matches, Undertaker vs. John Cena I’m still hoping to God happens like I’ve hoped for the past 5 years. And I hope it's an I Quit match and they specify on TV beforehand that someone HAS to quit and the match won't end until they do (so no ringing the bell because someone is too brave to quit and passes out). I just can't imagine either of them giving up and it would be surreal to see.

I want Daniel Bryan to win the Royal Rumble and challenge for (and win) the WWE title. It's too early to say who'll be champion and defend the title against him though. Possibly Ryback, CM Punk or Dolph Ziggler.

If The Rock is wrestling on the show I hope he and HHH have one more match to finally end their rivalry. Rock will probably face Brock though. If he doesn't then I'd like to see Brock face CM Punk (if that doesn't happen at Summerslam) or Sheamus (there really isn't many people who could realistically go up against Brock).

If The Shield are still together I’d like to seem them against a re-united Evolution (HHH, Orton & Batista obviously, not Flair – he can manage them) in a call back to the Evolution tag match from WM XX with them now being the veterans rather than the new guys.

Assuming a heel (AJ? Summer?) holds the Divas title at the time, I'd like to see Naomi win the title from them here.

Oh, and if by some miracle Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara are both fit and able at the same time then finally do that match.

Major WrestleMania XXX Discussions Revealed

WWE officials have had several discussions recently regarding how to use the top tier talent at WrestleMania XXX from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Those under discussion include Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Ryback. However, many of their ideas hinge on whether Johnson decides to commit to a fourth consecutive WrestleMania, the belief right now is that he won't.

Should Johnson decide to appear WWE officials are interested in renewing his 2002 rivalry with Lesnar, with The Undertaker placing his famed undefeated streak on the line against Ryback. However, should Johnson opt not to compete, the company's secondary idea for Lesnar is to have him face The Undertaker.

The idea to have Ryback vs Undertaker comes from his recent success in partnering with Paul Heyman. The feeling is CM Punk failed to defeat the streak under Heyman's management but now a larger framed star in Ryback could be the one to secure a historic victory over the Deadman and that certainly is something that is strongly being considered by some in WWE management.

That sounds awful.

Although I remember in years gone past Undertaker being rumoured to have crappy WM opponents (Ted DiBiase Jr. & Wade Barrett are ones I remember) that thankfully ended up not coming to fruition. I’m guessing Ryback joins those names. No way that match actually ends up happening at WM.

Undertaker/Cena, Bryan/HHH and Lesnar/Punk II is the way to go, please WWE. Alternatively, Undertaker/Lesnar and Cena/Punk/Bryan in a triple threat for the title (like WM XX) wouldn’t be bad, although I'd like my first picks way better. Ryback can face Sheamus or something. Just don’t waste what is potentially Undertaker’s last WM match on him.
