I don't know what's come over me. There's like 3 or 4 superhero movies I want to see this year. I don't think I've looked forward to that many in like the last 10 years combined.

Psylocke looking eleganza in literally EVERY shot they showed of her in the trailer. Her costume translated so well onto the screen and makes me want to see them attempt more individual costumes in the sequels, as opposed to team uniforms.

But speaking of the team uniforms, I was starting to think that pic I posted a while back of Jean in the classic blue and yellow uniform was a hoax, but did the rest of you notice when Mystique is giving her speech and she's wearing a blue and white costume? I think it's gonna be an ode to her white dress from the comics.

Whew, Psylocke vs. Beast. Cyclops vs. Storm. And I couldn't tell but I swear if that's Jean throwing the car at Psylocke I'm gonna do a death drop.

And no Jubilee ANYWHERE in the trailer.

In addition to Sophie Turner, her on-screen sister Maisie Williams is joining the X-Men film universe as Wolfsbane in New Mutants, and Anya Taylor-Joy is playing Magik. And Alexandra Shipp is going to be reprising her role as Storm, so I'm guessing it's set in the 80's.

X-Men: Apocalypse: Inside the Jean Grey & Cyclops Romance

In Apocalypse, Jean (Sophie Turner) and Scott (Tye Sheridan) are just teenagers struggling with their new identities as mutants. Scott, in particular, is not psyched at coming to Xavier's school mostly because he's blind due to his energy beams.

"In the beginning, she's the last thing he's interested in," explains director Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past). "When he first comes to the mansion, Scott's blind so he can't see her. Suddenly he gets some glasses and now he can see her and he's like 'Oh! That's Jean Grey.' Both of them are misfits in a way. Other mutants have settled in with their powers. This is all new to Scott Summers and he doesn't like it and he doesn't like school. And Jean she has not only has her telekinesis and her telepathy but she also knows inherently that something darker and more powerful is growing inside her and she doesn't quite know what it is."
