- The WWE creative team had originally pitched an eight-man double ladder match for WrestleMania 29.
This would have seen both the United States and Intercontinental Championship titles on the line. Vince McMahon nixed the idea, with the latest report being that he is not high on Antonio Cesaro. So instead we get a boring pre-show match that we got 2 weeks ago on Raw? Good call, Vince. It's why they call you a genius.  |

My final WM thoughts/predictions: (Kane's big red ass beating Randy Orton stopped me from getting a clean sweep with my picks last year)
Rock/Cena
Who I want to win: Cena
Who I think will win: Rock (with Cena winnng the title in a triple threat next month by pinning Punk so they can set up Rock/Cena III at Summerslam with Rocky saying he still never beat him)
Thoughts: I loved their match last year. Rock’s two matches this year I didn't like though and he looked like he can barely go 20-30 minutes anymore. I'm confident that with the atmosphere and the pressure of it being WM though he will step up his game and deliver here.
HHH/Brock
Who I want to win: HHH
Who I think will win: HHH
Thoughts: This is the match I have the highest expectations for out of the 3 main matches. HHH is the king of gimmick matches and 2013 Brock only really works in matches like this. I predict the ending has Vince hitting Brock with a chair or something then a Sweet Chin Music from HBK then a Pedigree by HHH so they all get revenge at the same time.
Taker/Punk
Who I want to win: Taker
Who I think will win: Taker
Thoughts: This is by far the least relevant streak match since 2006 but it’s still Undertaker at WrestleMania (for what will probably be the second last time) and he always delivers when everyone is doubting so hopefully he can again. I'm looking forward to Living Colour doing Punk’s entrance.
Del Rio/Swagger
Who I want to win: Del Rio
Who I think will win: Del Rio (with Ziggler cashing in MITB after)
Thoughts: At the rate we’re going WM in 2 or 3 years will have Drew McIntyre vs. Alex Riley or something for the second World title. It gets less relevant each year. The match should be decent though. I hate Dolph Ziggler but I want him to cash in MITB here just to get it out the way and so that something memorable comes of this match.
Shield/Randy Orton, Sheamus & Big Show
Who I want to win: Babyfaces (I’m starting to hate Ambrose and Rollins individually although I don’t mind Shield as a group)
Who I think will win: Shield
Thoughts: I liked the 6 man tag they had last month. This will probably be the exact same except with Orton and Big Show in place of Cena and Ryback.
Ryback/ Mark Henry
Who I want to win: Henry
Who I think will win: Ryback
Thoughts: This match will suck if it lasts longer than like 7 minutes. Like I’ve already mentioned, I just want to see Ryback attempt to hit his finisher.
Jericho/Fandango
Who I want to win: Y2J
Who I think will win: Fandango
Thoughts: This will be the first Fandango/Johnny Curtis match I’ve ever watched. I have no idea if he's any good in the ring. I like the gimmick though and I’m interested to see how he does here.
Team Hell No/Ziggler & Big E.
Who I want to win: Hell No
Who I think will win: Ziggler & Big E.
Thoughts: I’d rather Bryan was in a better match. This match doesn’t seem WM worthy to me. Although I haven’t watched any of the build for it, to be fair.
Team Funkadactyl/Team Bella
Who I want to win: Funkadactyls
Who I think will win: Funkadactyls
Thoughts: I’m excited for Naomi and Cameron to get a WM match. If they win I hope one of them gets the pin rather than Brodus. Btw, I don’t really get why the Damien Sandow character would even associate with the Bella’s. Boobies I guess.
Wade Barrett/The Miz
Who I want to win: Miz
Who I think will win: Barrett
Thoughts: WWE's YouTube feed never works well for me so I probably won't see this.
Overall thoughts: HHH/Brock I expect to be great. The midcard stuff should be fine. Rock/Cena and Taker/Punk are the wildcards. Both have the potential to either be great or be really disappointing (well technically every match ever has that potential but work with me here). Rock has looked tired and slow in his matches so far this year and Taker is like 80 years old. Cena and Punk better be on their game tonight because the difference between the show being great rather than just "good" or even average probably rests on their shoulders. Which is fitting in a way since they carry the company for the rest of the year too.
Overall, I think it’ll be better than WM 25/27 and more on par with 26/28. Just how good it is really does depend on those two matches.

I don't know of a single person besides Vince, Burke and the two idiots involved that give the slightest fuck about this match. Their match last year was boring with a nice surprise ending. Their match this year will be boring with a lame ending. Even if Cena turns heel (which he wont), it will make no difference to me.
HHH/Brock

I just want these guys to beat the living shit out of eachother for giving me such a boring live performance at SummerSlam. As long as there are weapons, I will be happy.
Taker/Punk
Want: Punk
Think: Taker
This has been the only of the 3 main events I've cared about this "season." It was fitting that they got to close the go home show before Mania because it actually left me wanting to watch it. I say I want Punk to win, but I don't actually want the streak to end. It would make the whole thing pointless. I just can't not root for my leader.

I want the belts off Hell No but not like this. Never like this. Even moreso if they add Kaitlyn and AJ and put the divas title on the line too like was rumored. If AJ wins the belt from Kaitlyn I want it to be 1-on-1. Tho this would set up the rematch better. But I don't want Ziggler with Big E at all anymore, let alone as tag team champions.

I love how Maryse has joined the ranks of Trish/Lita/etc as one of the select few divas who isn't completely ignored by the company after they leave.
If like Beth Phoenix or somebody like that showed up to these events WWE would probably hide her away in the back row and instruct their cameramen/photographers not to let her face be shown on TV/their website.
