No, not that kind of bust. So no Trish Stratus or Nikki Bella answers please.
Who debuted with a lot of hype/a big push and was supposed to be a big deal but ended up, for whatever reason, being the biggest disappointment?
I’d have to go with Scott Steiner. I was so excited when he debuted in MSG at Survivor Series and was looking forward to his feud with HHH. Then he stepped in the ring for his first match, got tired after 2 minutes, appeared to not know any moves other than suplex, tripped over his own feet when he tried a powerbomb and almost dropped HHH on his head and to add insult to injury, his pants kept falling down and exposing his thong. There was truly no coming back for him after that and he pretty much became a running joke (although a very funny one, at least).

Gail Kim. Both times.

Lol, I agree. She was my diva choice. The first time she debuted she got videos for ages before she even debuted then she won the Women’s title in her first match and she still pretty much amounted to nothing. Then years later when she came back there was even more hype because of what she had done in TNA and she ended up being a jobber.
I forgot to add Heidenreich as an option in the poll. WWE tried to make him happen more than once.

Gail Kim I think had a lot of potential to do well the first time had they taken their time with her, but yeah, what could have been a really great moment at the beginning of the career of a future top star was kind of wasted on account of her being so green. She did get better though (not that she wasn't always quite good), and I was annoyed when they sent her packing. The second time round was just ridiculous use of a great talent on WWE's part but I think we've covered that.
I'll go with Bobby Lashley. He was cool at first when he was just beating people up, but I feel like once his really big push started (which came way too early of course) they just completely messed it up. I feel like WWE has it in their head that every single main event guy has to have the ability to cut a twenty minute promo at the start of Raw, so they had him do that, but has there ever been a main eventer with less charisma or speaking ability? Working long matches with guys who weren't Finlay exposed him as a wrestler as well; they always seemed to fall apart half way through. It was bad enough when he was the face of ECW, but it was excruciating when they had him heavily featured on both ECW and Raw every week at the start to the middle of 2007 when he was feuding with Vince and Shane. There was one Raw when literally the entire show was devoted to him because of some gauntlet or whatever it was. Horrible. I don't know if I've ever been so simultaneously in favour of and against WWE as I was during that period (that entire Raw push pretty much coincided with Melina's title reigns).
Kharma went from being the woman who would resurrect a dead division to released in the space of just over a year, but I do think she'll be back so I won't say her.

Mr. Kennedy, I always lost interest immediately after he said his name. Snitsky was not a bust.

Believe it or not, the WWE's own official magazine was comparing Nathan Jones to Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin at one time. As in "These guys dominated or defined their eras and look at who will be next in that line."
Though I wouldn't personally classify him as a major bust cause I always thought he pretty much sucked.

I remember Kennedy doing a couple of good things very early on before his first injury and then with Undertaker, but overall I agree that he was boring beyond the gimmick, and that got old fast.
Lol, Nathan Jones. I liked him a little in Team Leonard when the were all just flinging Shannon Moore around the ring.
I thought the time they reunited WGTT on Raw in 2006 was a big let down because they were so good during their initial run. I think they could have benefited on SD where they could have replaced Deuce and Domino as the top heel team.
