B and Mal's new screen names reminded me of this.
I had never seen Sable before this, only heard of her, and I still marked out big time for this moment. (This was back before I read spoilers so I had no idea it was coming)
It's a damn shame we never got a Trish//Sable feud. Had she returned to RAW, that would've been amazing. Oh well, at least we got to witness Sable//Steph.

One of the best moments of modern Diva history. Still gives me chills. lol.
Seriously, though. At that time, Torrie Wilson was still my idol, and it was marvelous to see her gain some real competition on Smackdown (no shade to Dawn Marie). I thought the entire Sable/Torrie feud was rather brilliant - however long it lasted. Although I thought their duel Playboy photoshoot was lackluster, I still rank them as one of my favorite pairings. I may have grown up wanting to be a Torrie, but I definitely see myself being somewhat Sable-esque in my later years. Catwoman outfits and all.

This was really exciting when it happened. I was a huge Sable fan when I was little. In fact, part of why I faded out of wrestling for a while was because she wasn't on anymore. Anyways, I remember I was on restriction at the time because of school, so I wasn't allowed to watch wrestling. I didn't know about spoilers then either so I wasn't expecting anything to happen, then the phone rang and my best friend who I always watched wrestling with called and told my mom that Sable had just come back, so I was allowed to watch this segment under the critical circumstances, lol.
Sable's second run was a lot different than her first, but I still enjoyed it. I agree about her and Trish tho. Can't believe they never cashed in on that. The only interaction we ever got between the two was on Divas South of the Border.

I never really liked Torrie for some reason. Whether it was Sable, Stacy or Dawn Marie, I was normally rooting for the heel she was feuding with.
And Sable was screwed in that bikini contest they had. She blatantly got more cheers than Torrie, lol.

Although Sable never got a chance to respond after that. I’m sure she wouldn’t have been adverse to going even further to secure victory, if need be. Lol. Torrie’s acting ability did often make me laugh. She was like Kelly Kelly version 1.0. She had nothing on her father’s comedic timing though. Praise be Al Wilson. God rest his wrinkly soul.

Torrie deserved an Emmy for her work in this storyline.

That whole thing was brilliant.
And I loved how Torrie was so distraught at Dawn practically killing her father, then 6 months later they were merrily skipping to the ring alongside each other for a swimsuit match. Poor Al. Grave spinning etc.
