Are Orton and Christian just going to continue to wrestle each other every month until they both decide to retire or something? Lol, is SD's roster really that thin right now?
I hated last years SummerSlam. If Cena vs. Punk is as good as their MITB match and Kelly has a decent opponent then that's all it would really take for me to like this years show better.

I didn't like 2004. 2002 and 2005 are the only two I can think of that I actually properly liked, lol. I was on holiday during 2001, but I probably would've liked that.

2005 was awesome. I think that was the last great SummerSlam.
Last year's show sucked. Sheamus vs. Randy Orton and Kane vs. Rey Mysterio for your two World title matches? Seriously, Cena vs. Punk and Christian vs. Orton look WM worthy compared to that.

Sheamus vs. Randy Orton was a great match, the ending was the only bad bit about it.
SummerSlam 2005 had a stupid 25 second US title match, that God awful Mysterio/Guerrero ladder match and Hogan vs. HBK; which was an insult to everyone who bought the PPV. It was far from great.

It just seemed special. Like it was a proper megashow. I liked Hogan/Michaels, Cena/Jericho is like, my second favourite Cena match after vs. Umaga in LMS, and the rest of the card was pretty strong too. No SummerSlam since has actually seemed like a big dead. Melina's big yellow Aztec costume ASIDE.  |

I think your alone on this Tarry. 2005 was awesome, and felt like WrestleMania Jr which is what it's supposed to be. Every SummerSlam since has been boring and seemed like just another PPV

HBK/Hogan was terrible because Michaels was an unprofessional asshole. He treated every person who paid to see the match like shit. Instead of doing his best to entertain the fans, he flopped around like a fish turning the 'dream match' into a nightmare. I was proud of Hogan for keeping his cool in the match and being professional.

I hate Hogan usually but I loved that match. HBK as a heel was great. I wish that had lasted longer.
Cena vs. Jericho was awesome that year also.
The only recent SummerSlam I really liked since then was 2009. I thought that one was pretty good. Mostly just for the awesome DX tank entrance though.
