Smackdown: Daniel Bryan opened the show cutting a promo. He talked about getting rid of AJ and his guest referee job on Raw. Alberto Del Rio interrupted and said he would be the next World champion after Extreme Rules. Big Show interrupted and cleared both men from the ring. He then chokeslammed Ricardo Rodriguez.

(1) Alberto Del Rio beat IC champion Big Show in a non-title match. Del Rio won via Cody Rhodes outside interference.

Damien Sandow talked on-screen about the age of enlightenment.

(2) New Divas champion Nikki Bella beat Alicia Fox after Twin Magic.

(3) Darren Young & Titus O'Neil beat Yoshi Tatsu & Ezekiel Jackson.

Michael Cole interviewed Randy Orton about his rivalry with Kane ahead of Extreme Rules. Jinder Mahal then interfered and ate an RKO.

(4) Antonio Cesaro beat Tyson Kidd in a try-out match.

The same Brock Lesnar hype video from Raw aired.

(5) Great Khali beat Cody Rhodes.

(6) Ryback beat local wrestler Jacob Kaye in another squash match.

They recapped AJ attacking Natalya last week after D-Bryan dumped her.

(7) World Hvt. champion Sheamus beat Mark Henry in a non-title match.

* The show opens with a video package looking back at Extreme Rules, followed by World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus coming out to the ring and calling out Daniel Bryan by mocking the YES chants. Apparently, they will have a rematch from the pay-per-view right now.

* World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus b. Daniel Bryan via disqualification in a non-title match when Alberto Del Rio attacked Sheamus. After the match, Del Rio applied the cross arm breaker on Sheamus for a good while. Trainers helped Sheamus to the back for further evaluation.

* WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth b. Camacho and Hunico in a non-title match when Truth hit the Lie Detector on Hunico. After the match, Kingston and Truth had a staredown with the former champions Epico and Primo, who were watching the match from the stage with Abraham Washington and Rosa Mendes.

* It is announced that the main event will be a tag team match. It will be Randy Orton and WWE Intercontinental Champion Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes and Kane.

* “The Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay w/The Funkettes b. Jack Swagger w/Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero via disqualification when Ziggler interfered. After the match, Clay took out both men and then chased Vickie to the back. This is re-taped later, but with a count out finish instead of DQ.

* Backstage, Alberto Del Rio and Daniel Bryan argue about who is next in line to World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. Eve Torres walks up to them and says that she will decide who is next in line to face Sheamus for the title once he is medically cleared to compete, which she just so happens to be going to check on.

* Damien Sandow comes out to the ring as he is scheduled to face Derrick Bateman his in debut match. Instead, he says he is far better than an miscreant and an ignoramus like Bateman and says he will not compete tonight. As Sandow leaves, Ryback makes his way to the ring.

* Ryback b. Derrick Bateman with a running muscle buster.

* Randy Orton and WWE Intercontinental Champion Big Show b. Cody Rhodes and Kane when Orton hit the RKO on Kane and Show hit the W.M.D. on Rhodes at the same time.

* It is announced that World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus has been medically cleared to compete and his opponent will be Daniel Bryan.

* Backstage, Theodore Long is approached by Aksana, Antonio Cesaro and Eve Torres. Eve tells Long to oil up Antonio.

* WWE Divas Champion Layla b. Natalya in a non-title match with her finisher.

* A video package plays showing AJ’s unusual behavior the past few weeks.

* Backstage, Kaitlyn is approached by AJ. AJ tells Kaitlyn that she would like to apologize for what happened last week. Kaitlyn forgives AJ and then AJ slaps her again before running off.

* Alberto Del Rio makes his way to ringside to join the announce team for the next match.

* World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus b. Daniel Bryan with a Brogue Kick despite interference from Del Rio. After the match, Bryan and Del Rio argue while Sheamus celebrates in the ring to close the show.

1. Sheamus and Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho and Alberto Del Rio ended in a DQ. A big brawl broke out and referees came out to separate the four players in the Over The Limit Fatal Four Way match.

2. A.J. defeated Kaitlyn. A.J. destroyed her. Daniel Bryan came out and saw A.J. in a new light. He said that after he wins the WWE Championship, he's moving on to Kaitlyn.

3. Daniel Bryan beat Big Show via John Laurinaitis's ruling. Laurinaitis interrupted the match and called it in favor of Bryan, claiming Big Show tapped. Laurinaitis then ordered Big Show to apologize again.

4. Ryback defeated Heath Slater. Before the match, Heath Slater came out and talked crap about Ryback. He called him a caveman with a peanut brain. Ryback came out and squashed him.

5. Antonio Cesaro (w/Aksana) defeated Alex Riley. Teddy Long handled the introductions. Aksana told Long that they are just friends, but she is lovers with Cesaro. Aksana and Cesaro made out in front of Long after the match.

6. Randy Orton fought Alberto Del Rio to an apparent double DQ. Ricardo interrupted Orton as he was preparing for the match. He jumped from the top rope and was RKO'd. The match was thrown out. Del Rio applied the cross arm breaker after the match.

7. R-Truth (w/Kofi Kingston) defeated Jack Swagger (w/Dolph Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero).

8. Titus O'Neil and Darren Young defeated Zack Ryder and Santino Marella. Titus and Young ranted about being the next WWE Tag Champions.

Matt Striker interviewed Damien Sandow and asked him why he didn't compete. Sandow spoke about being a savior to the masses and a light of beacon for enlightenment.

9. Brodus Clay defeated Hunico (w/Camacho). Hunico and Camacho attacked Clay. Brodus came back and went Funkadellic and got the win.

10. Sheamus defeated Chris Jericho by DQ. Alberto Del Rio interfered for hte DQ. Randy Orton ran out. Del Rio took finishers from the babyfaces, and Jericho ran away. Sheamus and Orton spoke face-to-face. Sheamus left.

This is why I don't bother watching Smackdown. At least R-Truth is on the show and wins his match. Shame no one else from my show will appear.

WWE has a little less than a quarter of the arena on the camera side tarped off. There were plenty of "Yes!" chants and "Woooooo's" before the dark match earlier.

Booker T came out to a big pop. Michael Cole was out next to insane heat. Lilian Garcia came out to a respectable reaction.

John Laurinaitis came out to pretty massive heat. He said he disagrees with the decision of the board of directors. He said it will be like leading the lamb to the slaughter on Sunday. He asked the crowd to support him and then asked that they say a prayer for him.

C.M. Punk's music played and he received a massive pop. Punk headed to the ring as the fans chanted his name loudly. He said his prayers have been answered because after Over The Limit, Laurinaitis will be terminated. Punk said he would like to be the first to wish Johnny the best in his future endeavors.

Punk said he has no respect for Big Johnny and by this time next week, Punk will be WWE Champion and Big Johnny will be on the unemployment line. Laurinaitis blamed the fans and said they can go to hell. He booked Punk vs. Kane for later in the show.

1. R-Truth and Kofi Kingston defeated Titus O'Neil and Darren Young. Truth hit Paydirt on Young for the win. Lots of love for Kingston from the fans.

Zack Ryder was filming his Youtube show when Damien Sandow walked past him. Sandow is up next.

Damien Sandow came out and introduced himself as our intellectual savior. He said he would bestow upon us enlightenment that we so desperately craved. He said Yoshi Tatsu was not worthy of facing him. Yoshi called Sandow a chicken, and now it's on! Sandow hit Tatsu with a chickenwing neckbreaker and left. No match. Apparently, it's not on.

A Big Show vignette was shown with answers teased for tonight.

Backstage, Sheamus said he looks forward to the four-way match because it gives him a chance to show what kind of champion he is. Orton said that while there are three other guys in the match, he would love to pin Sheamus. They had a staredown.

2. Daniel Bryan beat Zack Ryder. Ryder came out to a decent pop, but his reactions have cooled considerably from where they once were. Bryan came out to a big reaction and got a mix of "Yes!" and "No!" chants, but the "Yes!" chants definitely won out. Bryan put him away quickly with the Yes! Lock.

3. Kane defeated WWE Champion C.M. Punk by DQ. Daniel Bryan was on commentary for the match. Bryan went to hit Punk with a chair, but turned around and hit Kane with it instead. Bryan then hightailed it up the ramp, and Kane, thinking that Punk had hit him with the chair, lit Punk up with some throat thrusts and a pair of chokeslams. Jeremy notes that perhaps should Kane just pretend that all his opponents hit him with steel chairs since it seemed to bring out the best in him.

4. Santino Marella beat Cody Rhodes in a champion vs. champion match. Santino caught Cody coming off the ropes with the Cobra and pin. The crowd was actually split for this match, but popped huge for the finish.

Randy Orton came out to a very big reaction. Sheamus followed to a mix of cheers and boos and some "Sheamus" chants. Fickle crowd.

5. World Hvt. Champion Sheamus defeated Randy Orton. Orton went for the RKO, but Sheamus schoolboyed him for the win. The crowd was about 70/30 in favor of Orton, but popped big for Sheamus's pin. After the match, they shook hands and then Orton hit the RKO to a big pop. The show should end with Orton standing over Sheamus in the ring.

Eve Torres comes out and brags how John Laurinaitis is still in charge. She said that Laurinaitis won't be there tonight, and she's in charge. She said that Sheamus will apologize and she will name his opponent for WWE No Way Out. Alberto Del Rio comes out and says that he wants to be Sheamus' opponent and complains about his other title matches. Randy Orton comes out and says he wants the shot, and then Kane comes out. Kane says he wants a title shot and noted that tonight's episode was #666. Eve makes a three-way match for tonight, with the winner getting the title shot at WWE No Way Out.

WWE Intercontinental champion Christian defeated Hunico with the killswitch. Cody Rhodes came out and said that Christian has ruined the Intercontinental title, and that he'd win it back.

Titus O'Neil and Darren Young defeated The Usos.

A vignette aired saying that Sin Cara will return next Friday.

Ryback squashed two jobbers. Ryback hit his finisher on both wrestlers at the same time to get the win.

Santino Marella defeated Ricardo Rodriguez with the cobra.

Sheamus came out and said that it was an accident (bumping into Laurinaitis on RAW), and he shouldn't have to apologize. He then apologizes for Laurinaitis being an ass and makes fun of The Big Show for kissing Laurinaitis' ass. Vickie Guerrero came out, it was hard to hear what she said with all the booing. She then introduced Jack Swagger. Sheamus vs. Swagger is next.

Sheamus defeated Jack Swagger with the Brogue kick.

Damien Sandow defeated Yoshi Tatsu in a quick match.

The Big Show comes out and sits in a chair in the ring. He said that he loves what he does and says that he needs to support his family, and that he felt betrayed by everyone. "You sold out" chants start. Show said that he has no friends, so he made a deal to get his job back and they devised the plan at Over The Limit. He said that the fans never cared about him and he doesn't care about them.

Kane comes out for his match. Daniel Bryan beats the crap out of him with a chair. Kane is on the ground and referees have to take him off of Kane. Bryan left as the crowd chanted "Yes!"

Another Sin Cara vignette aired.

Kane is back on his feet and the triple threat match is next.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Randy Orton and Kane to get a World Heavyweight Championship match at No Way Out. Bryan came out and distracted Kane, which allowed Orton to hit the RKO on Kane. Del Rio broke up the pin and threw Orton out of the ring and covered Kane for the win. After the match, Sheamus came out and nailed Del Rio with a Brogue kick.

That was the end of the show.

SmackDown, Airing Friday:

* SmackDown opens up with World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. He talks about No Way Out and Alberto Del Rio. David Otunga comes out and demands an apology for Sheamus running over John Laurinaitis two weeks ago. Sheamus refuses and out comes Del Rio. Otunga announces that Del Rio will be able to pick the opponent for Sheamus tonight. Otunga ends up laid out after a Brogue Kick and Del Rio flees the ring.

* Sin Cara returns with new red and white gear and new pyro. He defeats Heath Slater in a decent match with no botches.

* Hype for tonight's WWE Title Match with Kane vs. CM Punk.

* Ezekiel Jackson comes out followed by Damien Sandow. Sandow cuts a promo and refuses to wrestle. He leaves but Zeke brings him back to the ring. Sandow ends up defeating Jackson with his neckbreaker finisher.

* Backstage segment with Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler wants to face Sheamus tonight and Del Rio picks him as the opponent.

* Ryback defeated two local wrestlers in another squash match.

* Vickie Guerrero comes out with Dolph Ziggler and cuts a promo on Sheamus.

* Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler after a Brogue Kick. Jack Swagger interfered but it backfired and allowed Sheamus to get the win.

* Zack Ryder and Santino Marella defeated Darren Young and Titus O'Neil in under 2 minutes. Big Show came out after the match and beat up Santino on the stage, throwing him into the set. Show went and beat up Ryder next. Show knocked Santino out with a knockout punch as the crowd bood.

* Daniel Bryan is backstage trying to convince AJ Lee that CM Punk is using her.

* Cody Rhodes defeated Tyson Kidd in a quick match. Christian was on commentary and they had words after the match.

CM Punk and Kane went to a DQ when Daniel Bryan interfered. Bryan attacked them both until Kane came back with a double chokeslam. John Laurinaitis interrupted things and announced a three-way for No Way Out for the WWE Title. AJ ended up in the ring with Bryan and Punk. She left by herself and Bryan slapped Punk. Punk closed the show with a GTS on Bryan.

Michael Cole came out pre-show, selling the effects of the attack on Raw. Massive heat on Cole.

Alberto Del Rio opens with a recap of his attack on Sheamus on Raw. Ricardo Rodriguez is missing. Sheamus’s music hits, but it’s Rodriguez dressed up like Sheamus, including bright white tights and shirt to emulate Sheamus’s skin. He does a hilarious imitation of Sheamus as Del Rio interviews him. The real Sheamus comes out, and they end up brawling up the ramp. Teddy Long appears, dressed in a normal (for him, not for the rest of us) suit but with the big nametag. He says that the show is in his hands tonight, per John Laurinaitis, and he’s booking Sheamus vs. Kane as the main event and Del Rio vs. Khali to open the show immediately.

(1) Alberto Del Rio beat The Great Khali via submission. Del Rio attacks Khali’s knees, then softens the arm, and Khali taps to the cross arm-breaker. Rodriguez interferes a bit, too. Typical “smaller heel beats Khali by attacking the knees” match. The crowd goers nuts for Khali, I don’t get it.

Baskstage, Naomi and Cameron dance for Teddy Long, and then Brodus Clay shows up. Long tells him that he is now permanently on Smackdown. Clay gets serious and says that he will treat his opponent tonight as if he is Big Show.

(2) Brodus Clay beat Derrick Bateman. Bateman gets squashed by Clay in a minute or two, then Clay dances with kids. I am a huge fan of both of these guys, but I was sad to see Bateman tossed out here like this.

(3) Sin Cara beat Drew McIntyre. This was basically a spotfest to make Sin Cara look good. McIntyre did his role like a pro. Sin Cara botched one move badly and McIntyre acted like it connected, very awkward. Sin Cara won with his DDT finisher.

Post-match (and not likely to go on TV from what I can tell), McIntyre cut a promo demanding that an authority figure come out and explain why he isn’t in the main event status. Triple H came out, hit a Pedigree, and left again.

(4) Ryback beat Two Local Jobbers. You’ve seen this match before. Of course, the jobbers were from Clemson to get the Columbia audience riled up. Ryback changed it up a bit to keep the match formula fresh. The crowd loves Ryback, lots of “Feed! Me! More!” and “Finish It!” chants.

The crew was setting up for the Peep Show, but deliberately didn’t finish in time so Cody Rhodes could come out and destroy the half-assembled set. He ranted about Christian, who then came out. Rhodes reminds everyone that Christian was last seen as a heel, and says that no one is buying it. Christian finally explains his turn, and says that when he inducted Edge into the HOF, he had a moment of clarity and realized that he wants to be remembered for being a winner of championships, not someone who always whined for “one more match.” Good for them to do this. Dolph Ziggler interrupted for his match with Christian.

(5) IC champion Christian beat Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match. Good, long match. Christian won at the end with the frog splash. The crowd struggled to get into it, though.

Raw Rebound.

Michael Cole got on the mic and asked everyone to “move on” past the mess from Monday. JR’s music hit and the crowd went NUTS. Hornswoggle came out dressed as JR, and people were pretty disappointed, actually. He bantered with Cole. Damien Sandow came out and verbally eviscerated Hornswoggle. Quote of the night: “I am the avenging sword of taste and decency.” I want a shirt that says that. Tyson Kidd saves Hornswoggle, and Sandow leaves the ring. As Kidd and Hornswoggle celebrate, Sandow sneaks back in and beats up Kidd, hitting his neckbreaker finisher and doing the lazy sprawl on Kidd, then a cartwheel.

Backstage, Striker interviews Kane. Basic “I’m going to get the title” promo from Kane. Striker asks about the look between Kane and A.J. on Raw, and Kane ignores it and stomps off. A.J. then appears from behind some crates. Wow, she’s stealing Johnny Curtis’s gimmick!

Teddy Long on the ramp introduces Antonio Cesaro and “his lover, Aksana."

(6) Antonio Cesaro (w/Aksana) beat Jimmy Uso. Quick squash for Cesaro, who looked like a million bucks in victory. They forced Teddy Long to raise his hand at the end.

(7) World Hvt. champion Sheamus beat Kane via DQ. About what you’d expect, right down to the DQ finish as Del Rio cleared Kane from the ring and beat up Sheamus. Kane re-entered, cleared Del Rio, but then A.J. made eyes at him from the ramp, letting Sheamus beat up Kane and send him packing.

Week 3 without Layla.

And now the Smackdown spoilers:

* The show opens with AJ in the ring. She says she would like to address her kiss with Kane on RAW Monday. AJ is interrupted by Vickie Guerrero who introduces Dolph Ziggler and then head to the ring. Ziggler grabs the mic and says the show is all about him.

* AJ calls Vickie Grandma, which results in her getting slapped. This leads to WWE Champion CM Punk coming out and making fun of Vickie as well. Daniel Bryan ends up coming out and so does World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, who brings a referee with him.

* Before the tag team match that was advertised on RAW starts, AJ goes nuts all of a sudden and attacks Bryan and Vickie.

Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler w/Vickie Guerrero b. WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus w/AJ when Ziggler rolled up Sheamus following a distraction from AJ who stopped Vickie from interfering. After the match, Sheamus chased Ziggler through the crowd while AJ attacked Vickie. Vickie got away and then Kane came out.

* Kane attempts to carry AJ to the back for safety, but is stopped by a concerned Punk. Kane and Punk end up fighting in the ring and then Bryan comes back in the ring to get involved. Bryan tries to take out Punk, but is met with Kane’s hand, which leads to Kane chokeslamming both men. AJ is shown on the stage falling to her knees with a devilish smile on her face as Kane looks on in the ring puzzled.

Brodus Clay comes out and says that John Laurinaitis has an opponent for him tonight that will put him on his back. Out comes Heath Slater.

* Brodus Clay b. Heath Slater in a squash. After the match, Brodus starts dancing but is attacked from behind by David Otunga. Otunga works on Brodus’ legs for awhile until trainers come out to check on Clay. Clay, who was limping, is assisted to the back by trainers.

* WWE Divas Champion Layla comes out and joins the announce team for the next match.

* Beth Phoenix b. Alicia Fox with the Glam Slam.

* John Laurinaitis comes out and says what happened with Mr. McMahon on RAW Monday was not supposed to go that far. Laurinaitis issued a public apology for the incident and reminded people to stay out of Big Show’s way.

* A video package about the incident is played and then Laurinaitis brings out Show. Show talks about his career in WCW, facing guys like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Sting. Show said everyone gave him the advice to jump ship to WWE. Show said he sall people in this company rise to the top while he remained on the sidelines.

* Show says he will make John Cena suffer on Sunday when they meet inside of a Steel Cage. Show says No Way Out is a fresh start for his career and that he’ll start it off by defeating Cena, guaranteed. Michael Cole stands up from the announce booth and says he’s received word that Cena will be here tonight. Show says he’ll be waiting.

* WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian vs. Jack Swagger in a non-title match with the Frog Splash.

* A graphic is shown on the titantron saying that John Cena will call out Big Show later.

* In an off-camera segment, Swagger is in the ring complaining to the crowd when Triple H comes out. Swagger is handed a Pedigree from “The Game”. HHH then chases Vickie around the ring and to the back.

* Ryback b. Ari Cohen and Mike Testa with a double running muscle buster.

* Damien Sandow comes out to face Tyson Kidd and does his usual pre-match promo with plenty of insults about the intelligence of his opponent and the members of the live audience.

* Damien Sandow b. Tyson Kidd with his neck breaker finisher.

* Backstage, John Cena is shown walking to the office of John Laurinaitis. Cena kicks open the door, but nobody is inside. Cena shrugs and continues to make his way to the ring to call out Big Show.

* John Cena makes his way to the ring and the crowd goes nuts. Cena says he isn’t hiding and wants Big Show to come out right now. Instead, John Laurinaitis comes out and tells Cena that he sent Show home early tonight for Cena’s protection.

* Cena says that either he or Show were supposed to be getting knocked out tonight, but since Show is gone, that spot will have to go to Big Johnny. Laurinaitis threatens to fire Cena if he hits him.

* Cena says that no matter what, someone will be fired once No Way Out is said and done and then proceeds to punch Laurinaitis. Cena does the “you can’t see me” taunt and then celebrates in the ring to close the show.

Teddy Long opened the show celebrating the termination of John Laurinaitis. Big Show interrupted and said he doesn't care about Laurinaitis getting fired or about anyone else. He announced that he is entering the MITB match. Brodus Clay came out and they brawled. David Otunga intervened. Big Show laid Brodus out with a punch. Otunga danced to Clay's music.

1. Ryback defeated Brian Hardy and Blk Jeez. I didn't catch their WWE given names.

2. Alberto Del Rio defeated Christian via submission in a non-title match. Cody Rhodes came out post match and attacked Christian.

Sheamus vs Ziggler and Bryan vs Kane was announced for later in the show.

3. Kane defeated Daniel Bryan. A.J. was the timekeeper for the match. She rang the bell while Bryan had Kane in the Yes! Lock even though Kane never tapped. The referee waved it off and then Kane won with a chokeslam.

Mick Foley came out and stumbled over his opening line. He had to do a take two before getting the "cheap pop." Heath Slater interrupted. Foley put him in a match with Zack Ryder, who got a big pop.

4. Zack Ryder defeated Heath Slater. Ryder won a very quick match with a rollup.

The Primetime players were celebrating backstage when Primo clocked AW with a right hand. Primo and Epico brawled with the Primetime Players.

Santino Marella came out and did a sign segment that was presumably just for the house. He pulled a "fan" out of the crowd who had an "I Love Santino" sign and she laid a huge kiss on him and knocked him out.

Jack Swagger came out and complained about not being on the show and ran down Dolph Ziggler. Triple H came out to the biggest pop of the night and laid him out with the Pedigree. This was obviously a house only segment...maybe the Santino segment will air on Smackdown after all?

6. World Hvt. Champion Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler. Sheamus won with a Brogue Kick. There were lots of dueling "Let's Go Sheamus/Let's Go Ziggler" chants. Both men were over. Very physical match.
