Yeah, this one’s going to go over well. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine appeared on Filsinger Games’ the View Podcast and said that he didn’t believe in women wrestling, boxing or being in MMA. You can check out the full podcast at the link, with Valentine’s comments beginning at about 41:44 in.

Valentine brought up his points unprompted in the middle of answering a question about bringing managers back. He said, “As far as girl wrestling, I would send them all out to the strip bar and fire ’em…I’d fire every girl wrestler I ever saw. They don’t draw any money, they have horrible matches. They’re terrible. That’s the way I feel.”

He added, “They take away jobs from men that need to support their families. They should be home washing dishes and cooking and pregnant and barefoot…I love women … but they gotta realize their place. They’re not supposed to be wrestlers. They’re not supposed to be MMA fighters or boxers. It’s bullshit.”

It’s worth noting, that the host of the show then called Valentine’s comments a “perfect heel interview,” and he laughed and agreed with the host when called the “Donald Trump of wrestling,” but otherwise he didn’t appear to be “in character” or joking.

Also, while reading through this thread I saw this from 4 years ago:

Chavo even went as far as saying he could never watch wrestling again if Cena breaks Flair’s record of 16 world titles.

If Cena wins tomorrow someone please tweet Chavo and ask him for his thoughts.

I do agree that I hope Cena doesn't break Flair's record. Cena is so god damn annoying I can't stand it. I know it's going to happen though. It could be worse, they could have him to beat Bruno Sammartino's record for longest reign. That would be hell. I'd be 32 by the time he finally broke it.

I hate when a select group of fans on Twitter or a wrestling forum think they are the majority. They are shit compared to the kids who's parents shell out money for merchandise and cheer for their favorites at live events like John Cena, The Miz and Kelly Kelly. 290 people living in a basement compared to thousands of "marks." Hmm, you do the math. As long as they continue to make money and get reactions despite what two dozen dipshits have to say, they will continue to be at the forefront of the company.
