Some artists were not pleased with the 2011 BET Awards nominations that were announced yesterday. Trina was one of them. The following is her Twitter reaction: "Fuck BET." Nicki Minaj, Diamond, Lola Monroe and Cymphonique (Master P's daughter) were the nominees for the best female hip-hop artists category. Trina was not on there. It can be noted that Trina's 2010 album Amazin debuted at #2 on the rap albums chart, and has sold 98,000 copies so far. She's also had two hit singles. Diamond gave Trina a shout out: "I don't know what happened with [sic] the nominations.. But she raised all of US!" Trina then congratulated Diamond on her nomination and thanked her for the comments: "Thanx doll and congrats!!! I'm really proud of you!" Even Nicki Minaj, the frontrunner for the category, commented: "Looks @ nominations. Didn't know it was April Fools… *waits for Trina's name to appear before I take this seriously*"
Lol. Never heard of any of those nominees other than Nicki.

"Million Dollar Girl" and "Always" were her "hit" singles apparantly. I had to look them up. I don't remember either of them.
And I really don't know any of the other nominees. At this rate, I'm surprised they didn't just nominate Lil Kim tbh.
