I finally saw the first episode. I enjoyed it. SMG's (well, one of them anyway) husband is annoying though.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Plotting TV Return
Sarah Michelle Gellar may be back on the small screen next fall as the star of a new half-hour comedy, TVLine has learned exclusively.
The potential (and currently untitled) series, which is being developed at 20th Century Fox TV (home of Buffy the Vampire Slayer), chronicles the hijinks parents get into while their kids are not at home.
Gellar would play the wife/mother.
The actress — who attempted a TV comeback last year with The CW’s now-cancelled Ringer — became interested in the project after reading the Shepard Boucher-penned spec script. (Boucher’s credits include serving as a staff writer on the TBS comedy Men at Work.)
The project will be shopped to the major networks in the coming weeks.
David Hemingson (How I Met Your Mother, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23) and Margaret Riley (Love and Other Drugs) are attached as exec producers. tbh the other show never sounded/looked all that good to me. Granted I never gave it a watch, but this seems more promising. Sitcoms are back in style with Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Anger Management ect. and she has great comedic timing. I could see this being a hit if the rest of the cast and the writing are good.

It's impossible to get too excited about any prospective new TV show with the way the networks are these days. Especially with comedies. It'll probably either not get picked up or if it does it'll get cancelled after 5 episodes.
I'd love to see the Buffster back on TV regularly though.
EDIT: I only saw a few episodes of Ringer and it was alright. It was a strange idea for a TV show though. It would've been better off as a one-off Talented Mr. Ripley/Taking Lives style movie.

The world wasn't ready for Ringer. Especially not on the CW. It probably would have done better on a network like FX.
This sounds more promising, but like Burke said, sitcoms are either hit or miss. It'll depend on who is cast around her and the writers, but luckily it's already got some good executive producers attached.
