Sarah Michelle Gellar heading to CW?
Buffy may be headed back to her old stomping grounds: The CW (formerly the Warner Bros.-owned WB before it merged with CBS Corp’s UPN) is working on a deal to bring Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar to the fifth place network via Ringer, the drama pilot she made for CBS.
CBS passed on the project — rumor has it the networked loved Gellar but only liked the project — so its sister net is now kicking the Ringer tires. The drama is about a troubled young woman (Gellar) on the run who hides out by living the life of her wealthy twin sister, until she learns her sibling’s life has a bounty on it as well.
Gellar starred in Buffy from 1997-2003. The show ran on the WB before it jumped to UPN.

Oh yeah, I read she was working on a new show. It sounds pretty good and dramatical. Kinda sounds like the plot of one of her weird direct-to-DVD movies, but I'm sure it'll pan out better as a series where they can flesh the story out. I'll check it out, at the least.

I’ve been looking forward to this since I heard about it a few months ago. It sounds interesting at least.

I'm sure it'll air on Sky Atlantic over here, so I'll most likely never get to see it.

Definitely gonna be watching this one. Seems like a role SMG can really sink her teeth into.

Talking of SMG, has anyone seen 'Southland Tales'? You know the movie mindfuck she was in with The Rock. She was really the only saving grace of it tbh.

Thankfully this is airing on Sky Living over here and not on Sky Atlantic like the majority of the new American shows.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Covers 'Entertainment Weekly' Sarah Michelle Gellar graces the cover of Entertainment Weekly's latest issue, on newsstands Friday!
Here's what the 34-year-old star of Ringer had to share:
On why Ringer works for her: "Ringer is the perfect balance of what audiences want to see me do. It's Cruel Intentions meets Buffy."
On not wanting to be typecast: "That was a bit of a letdown for me after Buffy. I thought, The [movie] roles are going to be just like Buffy. You're not going to get stuck playing 'the girlfriend' or 'the wife,' you're going to get these three-dimensional characters. But truthfully, those roles are very rare. It's a better time for actresses on TV than on film."
On taking a break to spend time with her daughter, Charlotte: "I got to see the first step, hear the first word. Most people - and certainly many working moms - are not lucky enough to get that. I wanted to appreciate the fact that I had worked so hard all my life to be able to have those moments. I don't regret anything about making that choice."

Sarah Michelle Gellar's Ringer earned strong ratings for The CW, drawing in 2.74 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The ratings reached a three-year high for The CW in the Tuesday 9:00pm time slot.
It faces tough competition next week when new episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles and Dancing With The Stars premiere.
Any of you saw the first episode yet? I'll be watching once it begins airing here, which will hopefully be soon.

I didn't know this was airing so soon. Also, apparently Glee is airing really soon? All my shows are sneaking up on me.
Anyhoo, I missed the premiere last night, but it's replaying tomorrow night and I set my DVR to record the series. I'll give my full (biased) review tomorrow evening.
