That girl that sang Annie really got through though...
I hope now that the auditions are over they stop with the written skits with the contestants and the judges.

Boot Camp and Judges' Houses is always the best part. Then the first part of the lives, then the second part when it all gets a bit tired, then the auditions which tend to be really boring.

Last nights' auditions definitely scraped the bottom of the contestant barrel. It was as if the judges have been desensitized to the bad and are just letting anyone who's voice doesn't crack halfway in through. Except Britney. I love that she wasn't here for the 15 year old who wanted to win so he could be reunited with his long distance girlfriend. This isn't a Nicholas Sparks novel, bitch.

This finally started airing here yesterday and I had been looking forward to it for weeks (specifically for Britney)...so of course I forgot all about it. I'll catch the replay at some point though.

I'm the exact opposite. I lose interest the more it goes on. The auditions are by far my favorite for these competitions. If it were not for the people making asses of themselves I doubt I'd even bother. America's Got Talent is the worst of the lot. I just stop watching altogether once they finish the auditions.

Finally remembered to watch this.
I love Britney and Simon. Britney’s uncomfortable facial expressions are hilarious and I like that she isn’t afraid to criticise the poor contestants (I seriously hate the judges on these shows who sugarcoat everything and are scared to say when someone sucks). And I always enjoy Simon’s comments. Demi and LA are okay too but Britney and Simon are the reason I’d watch this regularly.
I think we’re a couple weeks behind the US though. The episode just on had had a guy named Willie Jones who they all loved, an annoying girl who abandoned her band in order to audition solo and another girl who threw a temper tantrum and ran out the studio when she wasn’t put through by the judges.

Okay, now that we're getting deeper into this I have a lot of thoughts: - The only contestant I was sad to see go was Jeffrey, the single dad. Aside from him, I can't even remember any of the others.
- LA's tempter tantrum about having to work with the over 25s was hilarious. Who did he think he was going to get, tbh.
- Nick Jonas is fine as hell.
- Jillian is unintentionally funny to me, but she has a great voice. Probably the best of the young adults. Paige's performance was sooo dramatic but I was here for it! All she needed was a close up and boom, they could have had her first music video. Cece is really annoying, but she's undeniably good. Jennel is amazing too, that was just her least impressive performance. I honestly can't picture any of them being sent home, which is fine since both boys need to go.
- The more I see Emblem 3, the less I like them. They just shouldn't talk, because they're pretty douchey and unlikable. I thought Playback's performance was cute. It felt really organic, and it actually reminded me of when they sang Country Grammar on Glee, lol. I'm glad Simon got it. I was impressed with Sister C because we haven't seen much of them since they're pretty low key, but they have amazing voices, and I find them relatable. But I was super impressed with the girl group. I wasn't expecting that from them at all. That one girl Ally sounds like Nicole Scherzinger, and I'm here for that. And the rap trio was good, but the duo who sang Super Bass was pretty forgettable. They sounded like anyone you could hear on the radio, and that's not a compliment. I can't remember how many of the groups they're sending home, but the duo and Emblem 3 can bounce. I actually do think Emblem 3 is getting the boot since Simon said one of the groups being sent home would be shocked and they've received nothing but good feedback so far.
- I think the winner will be from one of tonight's categories.

I haven't started this yet, but it's weird that they're not doing the boy/girl/groups/overs split. This means we're guaranteed at least three young contestants, yet I thought they'd want to avoid that after Astro and especially Rachel Crow last year.

Watching it right now.
Simon arriving to the buildng on a scooter and Britney laughing into the mic while the two wannabe gangsta guys were singing Lionel Richie was hilarious.
Oh my God. That Chinese woman singing My Heart Will Go On is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. Lol @ Simon's response to her.

Simon has no shame in trying to make lighting strike twice: We're headed for a UK vs US boy band battle

Khloe Kardashian, Mario Lopez Officially on as 'X Factor' Hosts
Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez have signed on as hosts for Fox's singing competition "The X Factor," Fox said Tuesday.
Kardashian and Lopez will begin their hosting duties in November.
"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Kardashian and "Extra" host Lopez had long been reported as contenders for the gig, a fact that "X Factor" executive producer and judge Simon Cowell acknowledged in the announcement.
“The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out,” Cowell cracked. “Mario and Khloé are our hosts. They will debut on our first live show in November and I couldn’t be happier.”
“I’m so thrilled to become a part of 'The X Factor' family,” Kardashian said. “I’ve been a big fan of the show and look forward to working with Simon and all of the judges. It’s going to be so much fun!”
Lopez added, "I’ve been a big fan of Simon Cowell and the judges for a long time. Khloé and I have been friends for years and I know we’ll be a great team and have a blast.”
Steve Jones, the host on the first season of "The X Factor," was let go earlier this year during a bloodbath that also saw the ouster of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
Abdul and Scherzinger were replaced by Britney Spears and Demi Lovato for the current second season.
Of all the Kardashians... And Mario Lopez? Is it 1995 again?

I meant to comment on last night's eliminations, but I was knocked out by 11 PM. I went into last night's episode paying EVERYONE but Paige and Lylas dust. I'm just happy they made it through. Fuck what you heard about the rest.
Having said that, I'm happy Sister C advanced, sad to see Playback go, and indifferent to the rest.
Now lemme crack my iPhone 5's screen voting for Paige and Lylas religiously.

I laughed when Simon tore Emblem3 apart and was pretty bummed when he put them through. Hated when Demi put Willie through cause he annoys the hell out of me. I want Paige to win. Everyone else on this show is irrelevant to me.
