Melina was never booked to be the top female. At. Any. Point. In. Time. Champion or not. 2009 or otherwise. That particular year she wasn't featured anymore than Maryse, Beth or Mickie at first and the second half Michelle was clearly the star of the show. Seriously, there's nothing wrong with being "one of" the top divas but Melina was obviously never the "figurehead of the division for years" like that article and you claimed.
And if I didn't think Cute Burke was so...cute...I would totally change my profile to a mock shrine to Michelle McCool right now.

You clearly weren't paying much attention in 2009 though, because Mickie wasn't featured at all at first. Beth was, but only because they needed someone to establish Melina as top face. And Maryse is a nonentity as far as I'm concerned.

I know I should just totally stay out of this, but I'm bored waiting for this thing I'm at to start and I'm an idiot so.....
Anything up to 2006 was obviously Trish at the top
2006-2009 was totally Mickie and Melina as equals at the top. Melina was never the top diva alone, so I agree with Burke, but the division seemed built around them. Don't know where you got Beth from, Jazz was champion too, doesn't mean the division was built around her over Trish.
The only time between 2006-2009 that anyone else was ever the top of the division was Candice in '07 but then she got injured and that ended (Thanks Beth... bitch)
Then 2009-2011 was clearly Michelle

You didn't. You listed them all and not once did you mention Melina, purely because you didn't wish to lose the argument. Mickie and Melina were the clear stars of the division, but both had points when they were ahead of the other.
