Pee-wee Herman's backstage at WrestleMania 27! Really hoping he's something to do with Roddy Piper's "surprise"

From Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather to Snooki and Pee-Wee Herman? WrestleMania's stock just plummeted.

From Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather to Snooki and Pee-Wee Herman? WrestleMania's stock just plummeted. Pee-wee Herman is twice the star those wannabes have ever been ... Also, Cody Rhodes will hopefully have a massive 2011. I'm really hoping he gets into the World title picture.

I don't want them to rush it with Cody. Let him do a Phantom/Christine thing with AJ and let him bring genuine credibility to the IC/US titles. He's still really young, and he's improving more and more with every year. It'd be awesome to see him win the title when his skills are really peaking in a few years.

No, you have to strike the iron while it's hot
Once Cody's back in his Dashing gimmick, they need to throw him in a title fued or multiple person title match. Then have him win the belt eventually and hold it for at least 2 months.
Personally for 2011, I'd like to see the the world title held by 4 people this year. I'd like to see Edge lose it to Del Rio, Del Rio lose it to Christian (which would spark tension between him and Edge), then Christian can lose it to Cody, who would hold it to close out the year and lose it at the Rumble back to Christian or Edge who would then fight at Mania.
Wishful thinking I know.

I don't want Cody back in the Dashing gimmick. It's cool and all, but it's not a star's gimmick. The darker character is so much better and more serious. He's still narcissistic, but they're actually pinpointing the more sinister aspects that a character like that can bring to the table, which is pretty unique. We all know that he looks the same, but Cody's so self-obsessed that he thinks the tiniest flaw makes him totally different. He feels deranged so he acts deranged. So cool.

Him walking around thinking he's gods gift to the world, smiling, wearing a suit, and carrying the title over his shoulder is the better character. His current gimmick is a fucking joke gimmick that is probably only gonna last another month. Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining because it's hilarious that he's so egotistical he went into a dark depression at the though of losing his looks, but you can't be serious that you think he's gonna go anywhere with this gimmick. It's just for his feud with Rey. I know it's your fantasy to have the arena dark and filled with fog while Cody rows a boat on wheels down to the ring with AJ in some old timey dress singing with Phantom of the Opera playing in the background, but get real dude. He hasn't gone through a gimmick change, it's just a storyline. Hence the reason he still comes out to (a deranged version yes) Smoke & Mirrors. It's just a storyline Tiarnan. He'll be back to Dashing in a couple weeks. The fact that you said this is a stars gimmick and Dashing isn't, I can't even fathom anyone seriously saying that. Stars don't have Gimmicks (excluding the Undertaker). It's not the 80's/90's anymore.

You mean like everybody else? Ummm... Yes. Exactly. Realism > Gimmicks Everyone likes the people now, not the characters. Characters aren't taken seriously anymore. Especially not a phantom of the opera gimmick. Cody will never EVER win a world title with this "gimmick" (storyline)

I don't get how running away when other wrestlers try to touch is face is less of a joke gimmick than this current one. With the current angle he's gotten a three month feud with one of the most popular stars in the company and a WrestleMania victory payoff. Prior to this he was doing well, but he hadn't had any actual storylines or feuds. It's been pretty clear since that whole Dusty Rhodes promo that the point of this was to turn Cody into a more serious competitor and thus a potential main eventer. And it's paying off, because he's getting over like crazy. He's managed to turn what was originally a generic I-love-myself gimmick into some kind of crazed psycho deal, and he's vaulting himself up the card because of it. I'm pretty sure I read an article prior to all of us stating that Cody was given the whole 'Dashing' gimmick in the first place so that eventually it could evolve into a darker, more credible gimmick for him, and that's exactly what's happening. I'll try to dig it up. And I don't want a complete repeat of Phantom. I just think bringing in a likeable female could make Cody sympathetic and turn him into the major fan favourite that he's destined to be.

Which is why WWE find it so easy to get new talent over... oh wait, they don't. Superstars need gimmicks to get attention.

And besides, WWE have The Miz to do the bland egotistical thing, and clearly they're not going to depush him anytime soon, considering that he just beat their top guy in the 'Mania main event. Cody's better at it, but he needs to find his own niche. He's found it with this.

Watching the Hall of Fame right now.
HHH: “Shawn is still refusing to accept his place in the Hulk Hogan hair club.” Lol.
Aww. He’s getting emotional now.
