There are rumours that Edge has been medically cleared to compete by WWE doctors.
If it's true I hope he saves any big return matches for a WrestleMania/SummerSlam and not Saudi Arabia.
In hindsight, the fact that he speared Elias at SummerSlam was a bit of a giveaway. When he first retired there was talk that he couldn't take any kind of bumps at all.

He has left his podcast and started that he could do one more match. Who would he even face though? I'm all for him coming back to replace Shane as GM of Smackdown though.
Also Orton is trash. How is that even a thing that happens to men his age and have that amount of time in the public eye.

While I remember and since I've got the network I've been going back and watching matches from the past year or so that I wanted to see but missed or hadn't got around to watching.
Charlotte/Ronda at Survivor Series and Becky/Asuka/Charlotte at TLC were great. The women's division from like October-January was so good. You had Evolution in October, then these matches in November/December then in January you had the Rumble with two great title matches in Becky/Asuka and Ronda/Sasha plus the Rumble itself.
Goldberg vs. Undertaker was the trainwreck it appeared to be. The entrances were great though.
The Kofi/Randy Orton matches were disappointing. This had the potential to be a great feud with their history. Randy matches that look good paper hardly ever live up to the hype though. It's weird because he's capable of being great at times and out of the OVW 4 of him/Cena/Brock/Batista he was probably the best "wrestler" but he somehow has had less memorable matches in his career than the others.
Becky/Natalya and Charlotte/Trish at SummerSlam were good. Goldberg squashing Ziggler was amazing.

I didn't notice it but apparently there was a backstage segment recently with Kofi talking about how he's cool with losing the WWE title because he has the power of positivity etc but he was like gritting his teeth and crushing the pancakes in his hand when he was saying it lol. I wonder if he's slowly going to snap and turn heel.
It might be time for New Day to split anyway, especially with Xavier out injured long term now. There's only so many times they can win the Tag titles and feud with the Usos. Kofi turning heel on Big E leading to a WM match could be good. It seems crazy that he could go from the pop he got this year to a heel a year later but it could probably work, look at Bryan going from a triumphant return at last years WM to a heel losing the title this year.

Holy shit I had stopped even paying attention to that main event because I thought Wyatt was sure to lose again. Between him being on SD and this being a Saudi show I thought there was zero chance of a title change.
It is Halloween though so a horror character winning the title today made perfect sense.

This Saudi Arabia flight delay stuff sounds crazy. Fuck being stuck there for like an extra 24 hours. I hope the money's worth it.
I remember one year coming home from holiday and my flight being delayed for just 6-8 hours and that felt like hell.

I remember one year coming home from holiday and my flight being delayed for just 6-8 hours and that felt like hell. Last year I spent 11 hours in an airport because my flight to Dublin was delayed. I managed to make it from Dublin airport to the train station to catch the last train home with 2 minutes to spare. East Midlands Airport is basically the same as Saudi Arabia, so I can relate. |
