Last one next week. I really can't see a satisfying ending coming.
If there's a season 5, I hope they bring Captain John back as a full time member.

Best episode of the season. Esther dying was the lowpoint but the unexpected twist of Rex becoming immortal was amazing.
They left it open for a second season on Miracle Day with an unnamed man at the ending confirming a 'plan b'.

I just found out one of the Buffy writers wrote some of the Miracle Day episodes. Shame it wasn't Joss Whedon.
If they bring it back for the a 5th Season, then I hope 'plan b' is resurrection. That way we could get Esther back, but maybe in a new way. Like 'Dark' Esther or something like that. If we don't get a 5th Season then I hope the BBC and Starz give Barrowman the movie that he's been talking about for years.

Torchwood's Julie Gardner has admitted that the show's future is uncertain.
The executive producer told Assignment X that only "time will tell" if the sci-fi drama returns to Starz and BBC One.
"I don't know if there will be more," she said. "The thing about there being more or not - you look at Torchwood, and it's always had such a labyrinthine history.
"For this new season, Torchwood has been off the air for two years in the UK. The weird thing is there are some series where that would really matter. It would be a real problem. I think Torchwood is so elastic in some ways and has had such a strange peculiar life."
Gardner went on to suggest that "all options are possible" with regards to the show's future.
"It... has been across so many different channels and so many international audiences, across so many different story structures, and so many numbers of episodes," she explained. "There's no single way forward for the show."
Starz CEO Chris Albrecht first indicated that Torchwood might not return for another season in August.
"Torchwood is not one of the shows we went into thinking about a yearly return," he said. "It's about [series creator] Russell T Davies [because] he has a lot of things on his plate."
Miracle Day might have been a ratings success over here but it was quite lackluster tbh. If they insist on doing a continuing storyline then they need to reduce the number of episodes so it moves along a lot faster; or they could just go back to the monster of the week formula and make it fun again.

They should make a video game of Torchwood. I mean like a proper one for PS3 and Xbox 360 and not a stupid puzzle game for DS and Wii like all the Doctor Who games have been so far.

I was going to post this a while ago but I forgot.
I love how he gives away the ending, stops and says "It's a long story, I don't wanna give anything away to anyone who hasn't seen it," and then carries on and gives more away. After seeing this, I don't think we're getting Torchwood 5 for a long time, if ever. Hopefully he returns to Doctor Who, because we haven't seen Captain Jack interact with the current cast yet.

John Barrowman and Eve Myles came up short in the Best Actor and Best Actress catergories at the National Television Awards. They were beaten by Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, who won the awards for their work on Doctor Who.
Still waiting for the day when Torchwood beats Doctor Who...

'Doctor Who' exec Steven Moffat: 'New spinoff series unlikely' Doctor Who's Steven Moffat has claimed that another spinoff from the sci-fi drama is unlikely. The showrunner announced at last weekend's Doctor Who convention in Cardiff that any such programme is not likely to materialise in the near future. "I'm not against it. Spinoff shows happen because you think 'That is so good, you should spin it off' - but personally I'm relatively busy," he explained. "[But] you never know," added the show's executive producer Caroline Skinner. Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood aired on the BBC from 2006 to 2011, with the fourth run Miracle Day being co-produced by US cable network Starz. However, star John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) recently suggested that the show is "in limbo". Second spinoff The Sarah Jane Adventures ran for five series between 2007 and 2011, but ended following the death of lead actress Elisabeth Sladen.
I've never hated Moffat as much as I do right now.

'Torchwood' revival still possible, says Starz exec A new series of Torchwood is still a possibility, according to Starz CEO Chris Albrecht. However, Albrecht told Multichannel News that it would be "a while" before any new episodes materialised. "You know, Russell [T Davies] is so busy," he said. "Obviously, we're in touch with the BBC all the time. They are our partners on [new shows] DaVinci's Demons and Harem. "We told them, we stand by ready for any news, but I think it would be a while before Russell came back to Torchwood." Torchwood exec Julie Gardner cast doubt on the show's future in October, while series star John Barrowman (Jack Harkness) later admitted that the series is "in limbo". Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper) also expressed her hope that the sci-fi drama will return to give fans "closure". "We've got such an outstanding loyal fan base," she said in January. "They deserve Torchwood to go ahead with something else to draw a line under it."
I had to wait from 2007 until 2009 for Children of Earth, and then from 2009 until 2011 for Miracle Day. I'm fine with waiting another couple of years for season 5, I just want it to happen. I really don't want another one of my favourite TV shows to be axed. First 'How Not To Live Your Life', then 'Psychoville', and 'IT Crowd' is on hiatus. If 'Torchwood' joins them, I'm going to be so disappointed

RTD has pretty much confirmed that although Torchwood hasn't been officially cancelled by the BBC, he is indeed done with it for the time being. He then said, and I'm paraphrasing here, "The great thing about shows like this I'd that they can easily be brought back in 5-10 years time." So yeah, I'm going to be 25-30 by the time a new series is likely to come out, and that makes me sad.
On the brightside though, John Barrowman and his sister have written a continuation of Miracle Day called 'Exodus Code', so I still have that to read. Unfortunately after that, it's the end of Torchwood for a long time.

I've nearly finished my 3 season re-watch.
Children of Earth is definitely the best season overall.

Episode 2 started freezing on me so I shut it off and haven't gotten back to it. It was an okay show. I'd watch it again but probably wouldn't go through the whole series.
