You know what they say about people who assume… They’re usually right. EDIT: Watching that Day One episode. Wait…did she just fuck that guy to death? I guess this isn’t a family show. This is some Dawn Marie/Al Wilson shit right here.

We still don't have much to go on with regards to Torchwood: Miracle Day, love or hate the Americanized upcoming adventures of Captain Jack Harkness, but I can tell you what we do have! How about some Eliza Dushku?! Maybe (but probably). Former Buffy, Battlestar Galactica and current Torchwood: Miracle Day writer Jane Espenson has been blatantly coy with her twitter lately, using all the subtlety of an elephant to slyly anounce (imply) that Eliza Dushku will take a role in her coming Torchwood: Miracle Day spin-off, titled Torchwood: Web of Lies! Having previously worked with Dushku on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse and Tru Calling, the prolific author not-so-subtly announced the Torchwood web spin-off, casually asserting that "we have faith" in the new series, and that "it's tru, there's an echo of my past work in Torchwood: Web of Lies." Faith, of course, was Dushku's character in Buffy, with Tru and Echo rounding out the character names of her roles in Tru Calling and Dollhouse, respectively. See for yourself:
Torchwood doesn't need a spin-off but I'll give it a chance.

Torchwood star John Barrowman says that the show's next series will be the sexiest yet – with "man sex" and "full-on" nudity. The 44-year-old star said ardent fans know his character Captain Jack Harkness likes men and women. He told Press Association: "I'm naked in one episode – I am full-on naked. I am bumping and grinding in this one. I am having man sex. "The true die-hard fans know Jack is omnisexual – he likes men and women. "People who tune into this series will just think Jack is gay, because he just has full-on man sex. It was really fun. "One day, I get to shoot a helicopter and save the world, and a couple of days later, I get to have sex with a 24-year-old. It's the most perfect job in the world." This series, named Torchwood: Miracle Day, has a larger cast and budget due to BBC Wales partnering with US entertainment network Starz. The show is set to begin in the UK in July. Source
Oh my God, Tarry! Do you know what this means? I'm finally going to watch this!

You Never Thought Captain Jack Harkness Would Do This Russell T. Davies is pulling another masterful plot twist on Torchwood. On the upcoming latest installment of the Torchwood saga, Miracle Day, Davies is making Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) do something the character hasn’t done in many, many years. Jack will be mortal! Why is this happening to Jack when the rest of the world cannot die? Davies explained: Davies did confirm that the reason behind this change is integrally connected to this ‘miracle’ experienced by the rest of the world. But Whovians, Jack cannot really die, can he? The Doctor crosses paths with him again many, millennia into the future, right? Davies added: Torchwood: Miracle Day, a ten-part series, premieres on Starz and BBC One this July.
Praying for the Captain right now.

"I am full-on naked. I am bumping and grinding in this one. I am having man sex." I know for a fact this episode is going to get a shit load of complaints over here. Two gay characters on EastEnders were cuddling in bed on an episode the other week and that got thousands of complaints. Silly British public.

The BBC have finally confirmed the transmission schedule for Torchwood: Miracle Day.
A spokesperson for the corporation has said that the Doctor Who spin-off will return to BBC One with 'The New World' on Thursday, 14th July 2011. The series will be broadcast in the same slot over its ten-part run.
Synopsis One day, nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep ageing - they get hurt and sick - but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight.
With all the extra people, resources are finite. It’s said that in four month's time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can’t be a natural event – someone’s got to be behind it. It’s a race against time as C.I.A. agent Rex Matheson investigates a global conspiracy. The answers lie within an old, secret British institute. As Rex keeps asking “What is Torchwood?" he’s drawn into a world of adventure, and a threat to change what it means to be human, forever.
The programme will debut on Starz in the US on 8th July while SPACE (Canada) and UKTV (Australia) will broadcast the first episode on 9th July.
Can't wait, it's a shame that the US and Aus get it first but it's ok with me seeing as if it wasn't for Starz then there wouldn't be a new series.

I've heard the first episode of the new series isn't that great. I had no doubt that it wouldn't be as good as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang or Children of Earth: Day One but I'm almost certain it'll be better than Everything Changes. I'm still looking forward it.

Rewatched my favourite episodes yesterday, listening to the audio books/audio dramas today and reading the Rift War! comic book tomorrow to get me hyped up for Miracle Day (not that I need to be hyped up).

Oh, that was totally the new show that was on last night, wasn't it? I kind of half watched it, but it didn't really click for me that it was the new one.
