Royal Rumble

Other than WrestleMania, this is the one show I still go out my way to watch. I love the Royal Rumble match.

Even if no one else is around at the time I’ll try and post links to streams tomorrow night. Yes, I’m going to stay up until 4am to watch this even though I have a job interview at 10am on Monday morning. Why not? It’s the fucking Royal Rumble!

Wow. At this point it’s basically John Cena, CM Punk and 30+ nobodies who have no hope in hell. I know I will have no real right to be, seeing as he isn’t actually advertised, but if HHH doesn’t return here I will be really pissed.

I also hope there are more of those cheesy, comedic backstage segments with guys drawing their numbers for the Rumble match. They haven’t done that in recent years. I’d like to see Kelly reprise her role as “ball girl” and Maryse could easily play the Torrie/Christy role also.

According to Pwinsider.com, Booker T and Kevin Nash are both booked for tomorrow's Royal Rumble as surprise entrants. Booker T had been rumored to appear since canceling his scheduled appearance at the New Orleans Comic Con this weekend.

As far as Kevin Nash goes, he had been negotiating with TNA as late as yesterday about a return, but is scheduled to fly into Boston later today. TNA sources had also confirmed that they ended their discussions with Nash recently and Nash had finally been removed from the TNA website.

WWE seem to be more strict than TNA when it comes to their wrestlers appearance, so I bet they make Kevin Nash dye his hair. They can't have him going out there looking like an old man.

I'm hoping for surprise appearances from greats such as; Headbanger Mosh, Daniel Puder, The Goon, Joey Abs, Akebono, The Boogeyman, Isaac Yankem, Seven, The Kiss Demon, Kevin Nash, Oz, Diesel, Scott Hall, Razor Ramon and on a serious note, The Shockmaster.

We should assign each other random numbers from 1-40 and whoever draws that number in the Rumble we have to cheer them on (even if it’s someone you dislike). Fate would probably come into play and I would still end up with Cena though.

I think this is the first time I've ever been excited for a PPV...well unless you count the 25 Diva Battle Royal two years ago, but I'd rather not.
