Anne Hathaway Defends 'Catwoman' CostumeAnne Hathaway will be matching wits with Batman himself in Christopher Nolan's upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises," but right now she's facing off against Internet naysayers who responded tepidly to the first photo of her in her Catwoman suit. "I was not going to admit it," the 28-year-old actress told MTV in a sit-down interview. "I asked someone to send me a few reactions [to the photo], and I happen to know that MTV's reaction was 'meh.' " MTV called the photo "underwhelming" and "unflattering," but Internet commenters were far harsher ( surprise, surprise). When Yahoo Movies posted the pic, commenters derided it as "weak," "cheap-looking" and some demanded to know where the "cat part of the costume" was. Even worse, an US Magazine poll asking "which star was the sexiest Catwoman?" put the Academy-Award nominated actress in last place, with Michelle Pfeiffer taking 52 percent, Halle Berry earning 37 percent, and the "Princess Diaries" star at 11 percent. Hathaway's response? "If you didn't like the photo, you only see about a tenth of what the suit can do," she teased. "And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste."

This is probably one of the best fan made trailers to a movie I have ever seen. It really made me want to see Robin Williams as The Riddler (or Hugo Strange)

I'm still hoping Burn Gorman's yet to be revealed role is a surprise appearance as Edward Nigma and not a cop or an unnamed background character.

I have to say, that other picture looked like a try hard Tomb Raider wannabe circa Angelina Jolie, but I actually dig this look. Yay. (in my Santana voice)

It definitely looks better, but I'm still not a fan. Michelle Pfeiffer's costume was just so purrfect.

If the Batman movies were as good as the Batman videogames then I would love them.
I'll probably still see this one anyway just because Catwoman is in it.

If the Batman movies were as good as the Batman videogames then I would love them. I've said that to so many people and they all just laugh. These movies are nothing compared to the Arkham games. Burton's (Returns specifically) will always be my favorite Batman movies, because like the games, they're pretty much the comic come to life. Hate this realism bullshit. Here's hoping the new series is actually a Batman franchise and not a crime drama franchise starring Batman. But, like you, I will watch this movie. And like with Dark Knight, as a movie fan, I will love it, but as a Batman fan, I will hate it.
