Dear TNA,
Please drop Christy Hemme as your ring announcer, she's messed up every single announcement tonight.
Cheers, Jonathan N. Tarry King of Tarrydise

Why is Abyss bleeding? What the hell is this adding to the match?

Now those fans know how to chant!
"Wrestling?!" "Yay!" "Hulk Hogan?!" "Boo!"
Definitely the most original chant I've heard in ages.

I've been a die hard wrestling fan for 11 years now and I've gotta say, I'm so ashamed to be one right now. Both companies are frustrating me. WWE don't care about wrestling or the fans and TNA pretend they care about wrestling to get fans that they're going to alienate once they've got them in a comfortable place. Usually I act like it's great that WWE and TNA are moving on from the old days but seriously, I miss the Attitude Era and the Monday Night Wars.

I've spammed this thread enough over the last few hours but one more post won't matter.
I uploaded an interview/spotlight piece on Magnus from the 'The Best of Gladiators' DVD to my Youtube channel.

The Crow > The Joker. Sting is a dumbass for not going to WWE when he had the chance. He could have probably made more money from that one WM match with Undertaker and a few RAW appearances than he will in 1/2 years with TNA. Still, it's his loss. We got Taker/HHH instead which I wanted more anyway.

When I saw Magnus in that screen grab I thought you had discovered some kind of bondage porn past of his or something. Mildly disappointed.

My plan to save TNA.
Right, first off I would get rid of Hogan, Bischoff and Russo. They're just holding the company back. Then I'd cut away the fat, I'd get rid of Bully Ray, Devon, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, Scott Steiner and Taz... they're all either too old or just don't bring anything to the table anymore.
Next up I'd rebuild the main event scene with Anderson, Sting and Angle keeping there places up there because they have strong enough fan bases and workrate to stay there. I'd move AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, Douglas Williams, Samoa Joe, The Pope, Matt Morgan, Crimson and Abyss up there permanently. Abyss isn't great but you need someone who seems to be 'unstoppable'.
The tag team division would be made up of Magnus & Terry, Mexican America, Ink Inc, James Storm & Alex Shelley and Kaz & Daniels. TNA really don't have much to work with here.
The Knockouts need Velvet at the forefront, she's not the greatest woman they've got but she's homegrown and it'd feel like a fresh start to have her at the top instead of Angelina. Winter, Mickie, Tara and Madison would be contenders to the title whilst Angelina is in Velvet's corner. The Knockouts tag team division would need to be either retired or rebuilt. I'd go for retirement because there aren't enough knockouts right now. I'd bring in Manami Toyota, Britani Knight, Sara Del Ray and Daizee Haze to help strengthen the division.
The X Division would consist of Amazing Red, Brian Kendrick, Robbie E, Kaz, Eric Young, Daniels and Suicide. I'd then bring in Rockstar Spud, Archibald Peck, Ophidian, Jack Evans, Shiima Xion and Delirious to build up the numbers.
The new commentary team would be Mike Tenay and JB, Mike Tenay and Jeff Jarrett or Jarrett and JB.
And of course, they'd need some big name signings starting with the top free agents... CM Punk and Chris Jericho.
I don't think they'd even be willing to do an ounce of that and that's their problem. They say they want to change, but there's very little action.

Nice thoughts. I like much of that. Some input and differences -
I'm okay with most of the cuts, but I'd keep Bully Ray. He's done a quality job with his character and has been on cue with some nice promos. TNA seems to be losing interest in him lately. But thats on creative. I was no fan but I think he's done well and can made a credible upper midcard heel for awhile.
Abyss is not a main event guy. That was confirmed last year. He was someone who got lots of speaking opportunities, was booked consistently strongly, and was even verbally backed by Hogan and Bischoff. But he still couldn't get over. He only works as a midcard to upper midcard heel monster meant to be shown as formidable but nonetheless enchancement for the people who truly may be viable attractions. If they need more out of him, it's time to bring back Father James Mitchell, get Abyss a new look and have him drop some weight. Not sure he's worth putting the effort into though. I think Morgan can work as their Main Event or on the brink monster.
I love Joe but he's put on too much weight. He literally has rolls hanging from his sides when he's on the mat. I don't blame him for being unmotivated given how badly he has been misused. But before I'd get him back to his old position, I'd want to see him a bit lighter and quicker.
I think Magnus could be hurt by exchanging a smooth professional like Williams for a relative greenhorn like Terry as his partner. Which could be a problem since Magnus has the best chance of becoming a longtime top of the card star out of any of the Brit trio imo. Mexican American are terrible. Hernandez needs a new partner and to stay away from microphones. Anar-whateverhisnameis doesn't cut it and should be released.
They should take the belt off of Mickie. She's become an excuse for lazy bookers to just put the KOs belt on a wwe name. She's talented but her presence isnt aiding native talent or the division. Keep Velvet's push going and have it lead to a reign for her. Lets see what she does with the belt.
Meanwhile (going back to that other posters idea) break Sarita away from Rosita and Angelina away from Katie. I was originally hot on Winter coming in but her wrestling has been shaky and she's all but a valet again. I still think she's worthwhile longterm but am not sure she's someone to push in the near term if a shot in the arm to the division is the goal. Build up Love and Sarita and then let them have a series of matches with the KO's title on the line. A quality Velvet reign followed by an Angelina vs Sarita feud over the strap could be a valid couple of events to increase buzz and add native cred to the division again. Just keep Sarita off the mic. (The above assumes Sarita will come out of her current health difficulties alright to still go.)
Don't bother longterm with Jacqueline. Add Rain and Jen Blake. Try Sara Del Rey too. She'd provide a possible monster angle. While Rain and Blake will fit well in a sports entertainment geared product. And can be used either as singles or in the tag division. A BP reunion that leads to a feud with Rain and Blake is too potentially cool to pass up.
I agree they should bring in some new X talent. I dont know if there is enough non smark fan enough appeal to support a bakers dozen of people in it. Especially given TNA's problems at developing distinctive talent. Though I guess some could be moved to the TV division if that were still around. Not sure it's worth anything though, save for bare comedy. With that large a roster without a fulltime second show, you'll be doing a steady stream of six and eight man spot based tag matches just to get everyone tv time. Which won't allow for effective personal building. People have to care about most of those new names. And even more of the hold overs honestly. Otherwise, it won't really lead anywhere.
Tenay should probably join Taz on the cut line. Mike seems to go through the motions these days and doesn't really present a lively attitude for a young fed. JJ is somewhat overexposed. He likes to think he's a solid main eventer, but I'm not sure he ever really had that level of appeal. I'd probably try an announcing team consisting of some combonation of JB, Don West (who was improving when he was moved away), and Raven. Desmond Wolfe would have been nice to consider for this too.
Jericho is maybe my favorite male wrestler (its either him or Rock.) Trust me when I say he'll never be seen in a TNA ring providing TNA doesn't buy out the E sometime within the next few years (which of course isn't happening.)
TNA needs to work on it's publicity. They have let so many mainstream media opportunities go by unstated or understated. If they are ever going to break out to the next level, they have to make their brand mean something. And connecting it to other media outlets is a step in that direction.
Though I'd expect progress to be slow even if things are done well. The economy is poor and wrestling isn't cool among the masses anymore.

I believe we're on the same page in most places, however...
Personally I've not been too impressed with Bully Ray. All he seems to do is call people "pretty boy" and "faggot". Doesn't really work for TNA when they're doing an anti-bullying thing.
Father Mitchell and Judas Mesias should return tbh. When they were around Abyss was actually interesting. And it could also solve the lack of tag teams problem.
Yeah, Joe has put on way too much weight but there's no denying he's still better than the majority of the roster.
My idea for teaming Magnus & Terry as a tag team is more along the lines of a Shawn Michaels & Diesel type of thing. Using them as tag team before letting Magnus move up the card with Terry as his bodyguard. Failing that, I wouldn't mind Magnus teaming with Robbie E or Hernandez full time. A pompous Brit and a Jersey party animal would work amazingly, plus I'd get to see more of Magnus & Cookie together. And Magnus with 'Nandez would remind me of World Elite.
I agree that Mickie needs to take a backseat and let the other girls take the spotlight. She's only been there five minutes.
I like Tenay, he actually knows what he's talking about unlike all of the WWE commentators (except Regal of course). I'd keep Double J away from the ring and only at the announce table. As a commentator he'd remind me of a Roddy Piper or early Jerry Lawler style of commentary. And yeah, Des would be a great announcer but it's too late to get him back.
Both Jericho and Punk have said they won't go to TNA whilst Hogan, Bischoff and Russo are there. However, the original plan is to get rid of them so it opens a (small) window.
TNA also need a new development system. Team 3D Wrestling Academy seems to train people to the bare minimum quality of ring ability before sending them up; like Rob Terry, Jesse Neal and Rosie Lottalove.
