He plays for a Spanish team. i'm totally buggin'. i could've sworn he played for Portugal in the World Cup Should have explained that nearly every footballer plays for two teams. His nation and a club team, in Ronaldo's case Portugal and Real Madrid.

So far it is Barcelona 4 v 0 Real Madrid. C.Ronaldo has been yellow carded too. Not played that well. Manager Jose Mourinho won't be a happy man.

Barcelona are widely considered to be the best team in the world No doubt about that. They're ripping Real Madrid apart right now. Great performance.

They're one of the only sides that have played brilliant flowing footie so consistently for such a long time. Won't be long before the Spanish family/banks decide that their the flagship Spanish team, not Real.

Arsenal at their best are probably the only club team in the world who could come close to them but they're just so inconsistent. Real Madrid really should be up there too when you look at their team on paper. I think for once Jose isn't gonna be a winner this season, not in La Liga anyway.

When does Fabio play?

I think Fabio plays for some rich team in Dubai or something now. Pretty much the equivalent of a WWE veteran going to TNA once they're past their prime and just looking to pick up a nice pay packet for their last few years.

Oh. So much for my half-hearted attempt to be involved. Carry on.

The philosophies drilled into temas like Barca and Arsenal takes years to capture, and a hell of a lot of money and patience. There's a reason why those teams can really flow like they do, their academies. They train their players for a considerable time before putting them into sides, this creates less pressure I believe for the players and they can be 'in tune' with the other 10 on the pitch quicker. Obviously with the odd big name signing to fit in immediately to compliment the side. Real however, are one of the teams that will throw money at a problem and demand instant success. I like Real but they've got it all wrong. It might get them the odd title but I think it's detrimental to them overall. I agree about Jose, it's a shame because he is a good manager, but I'd be surprised if they keep him on if he doesn't win anything this year. Hell, Real have fired managers that did win the title in their season. It's a poisoned chalice and nothing is good enough really.

I typed a long ass response to this then right before I hit reply this shitty laptop at work crashed and restarted for the 3rd time tonight. Nevermind, all I had to really say anyway was "agreed." When Scotland beat the Faroe Islands (that celebrated football nation) 3-0 a few weeks ago our manager actually said afterwards with a straight face "we played like Barcelona out there tonight." Gotta love delusional people. I think Jose will win trophies (and lots of them) at Real if given time. I don't think any of his sides will ever play with the style of Barcelona though.
